The Breakout Star battles the Undisputed One for the NXT Championship

After besting seven of NXT's next great Superstars, Jordan Myles earned a championship shot against any title on the roster. Tonight, Myles decided to cash in on that opportunity, challenging the Panama City Playboy, Adam Cole.

The Velveteen Dream also put on an exhibition tonight. His opponent? The Finest Kona Reeves, of course. However, it wasn't until after the match that Dream got burned by Undisputed Era's Roderick Strong.

We kicked off tonight's NXT with Breezango, sporting a new look and brand new theme, Big Poppa Pump sirens included.

Breezango vs Chase Parker & Matt Martel

Fandango started off the night against Martel, with Martel bringing him into the corner for a body shot. Parker tagged in and attempted a sunset flip. Fandango managed to maintain his balance and connected with a leg drop. In Breezango's corner, Breeze was tagged in, bringing Parker over with a suplex.

Bouncing off the ropes, Parker ran into a jumping forearm strike. A flying forearm in the corner allowed Breeze to admire his work from the top of the turnbuckle while angering his opponent. Parker tagged out to Martel, who was met with a standing dropkick and an arm drag. Breeze trapped Martel in a hammerlock. Martel broke out, though, and sent Breeze into Parker's foot.

Breeze fought out, managing to knock Martel off the apron with a forearm strike and drop Parker with an enziguri. Martel pulled Parker back into the corner, dragging Breeze in the process.

However, he finally escaped, leading to a tag to Fandango, who lit up Parker with a series of chops. Martel rushed the ring, leading to both men being dropped with snap powerslams. A falcon arrow to Parker set up Breezango's finish, the Fashion Faux Pas, for the win.

Results: Breezango defeated Chase Parker & Matt Martel via pinfall.

Backstage, Io Shirai was being pulled away as she was seen striking Candice LeRae with a kendo stick. Security luckily was able to pull away the Genius of the Sky before any serious damage was done.

Cameron Grimes was seen bashing his head against a wall after failing to win the NXT Breakout Tournament title opportunity. Grimes said that he still has his sights on gold, as the dream is to be champion.

Speaking of the Dream...

Velveteen Dream vs Kona Reeves

Dream trapped Reeves in a side headlock early. Reeves forced him into the turnbuckle, making Dream break the hold.

The two men traded their iconic poses, leading to Dream taking out Reeves with a standing dropkick. Reeves managed to block a superkick, hanging Dream's leg up on the ropes and rocked him with a kick of his own.

A pump kick leveled the NXT North American Champion, and after a slap from the Vainglorious One, Reeves hung him up in the ropes for a running big boot. Dream crumbled to the mat as Reeves taunted the crowd and the champion. Dream fought back to his feet, leading to a trade of fists between the two. Dream telegraphed a back body drop, kicking Reeves in the jaw and taking him to the mat with a shoulder tackle.

Reeves sent Dream onto the apron, but he caught the Finest One with a shoulder block to the gut and a roll-up. Reeves countered the pin, hoping to use the ropes to his advantage. The ref broke up the pin when she saw Reeves, allowing Dream to respond with a superkick and the Dream Valley Driver for the win.

Results: Velveteen Dream defeated Kona Reeves via pinfall.

Following the match, Roderick Strong appeared on the screen. Strong said that he was told to use the spotlight to prove he was on Dream's level. The camera panned out then to show that Strong had lit Dream's couch on fire.

After Rhea Ripley's arrival last week, the NXT Women's Champion seemed shaken. Next week, the inaugural NXT UK Women's Champion goes toe-to-toe with the Queen of Spades in a dream match.

Taynara Conti vs Bianca Belair

Belair's overwhelming strength advantage allowed her to push and pull Conti around the ring with ease. However, a monkey flip and a few strikes gave her the chance to pick up a quick pinfall.

The EST of NXT kicked out and knocked Conti to the floor. A standing dropkick took out the Brazilian Badass, and though she was caught in a monkey flip, Belair landed on her feet. Conti managed to trip her up, though and dragged her face across the bottom rope. A stiff kick to the arm left Belair trying to shake some feeling back into it as she was held in a rear chin lock.

Belair avoided a pump kick for a roll-up, but Conti broke out and leveled her with another pump kick. In the corner, a pump knee strike left Belair stunned. She followed up with an armbar in the ropes. As she broke up before the ref's five-count, Belair was dumped to the outside on her head. However, as she went for a crossbody from the apron, Belair caught her, sending her overhead with a fallaway slam.

Both women got back inside before the ten count, and Belair beat Conti to the punch with a spinning facebuster. A handspring moonsault allowed her to set up for a suplex. Conti escaped, but was bashed across the jaw with a forearm. The K.O.D. put her away.

Results: Bianca Belair defeated Taynara Conti via pinfall.

NXT Championship: Jordan Myles vs Adam Cole (c)

Cole took Myles to the corner, then immediately released him, trying to assert his dominance. Myles was then taken down for a side headlock. Myles broke out and attempted to leapfrog Cole coming off the ropes. The champion saw it coming, halting his movement and bringing Myles back to the ground.

Myles broke out once again only for Cole to stop himself before chasing Myles into the corner. Myles tried a leapfrog again, with Cole bringing him down for a third side headlock. Myles finally forced Cole to play his game, though, forcing Cole to run after him and continuously miss the Breakout Star. A crossbody connected.

Cole chased Myles into the corner and was met with a standing dropkick for his trouble. The UE leader decided to roll outside to put a stop to Myles' momentum, leading to the challenger jumping to the apron. Cole yanked his feet off, dropping him face first onto the floor. He was then slung into the ring post head first, nearly knocking him out. Cole sent him back inside.

The Undisputed One bounced Myles off the corners, and when the challenger tried to fight back, was sent neck first into the second rope for his trouble, giving him a severe case of whiplash. Myles was trapped again on the mat with headscissors, but he was able to roll to the ropes to break it up. Cole insulted Myles, saying he didn't deserve a shot at the title as the challenger struggled to make it to his feet.

Myles and Cole traded forearm strikes at this point, and Myles finally picked up steam, avoiding Cole's strikes for a few jabs and a leg trip. A dropkick to the back sent Cole outside, and a plancha over the ropes knocked the champion to the ground. A diving crossbody on the inside nearly gave Myles the upset.

A bridging German suplex nearly put away Cole, but he broke out again. Myles attempted to go for another dive on the outside, but Cole rolled under the ropes as he ran across the ring, stunning him with the Yakuza Kick. A step-up enziguri and a backstabber gave the champion a nearfall. Cole looked for the Panama Sunrise, but Myles evaded.

Myles went to the second rope for a dive, but a kick to the back of the knee saw him crash and burn to the mat, bouncing off his head. Cole then locked in the Figure-4-Leglock. Myles fought to the ropes and Cole broke the hold at the four count. Up top, attempting a superplex., Cole was knocked down to the mat. However, as Myles attempted another crossbody, a bicycle kick took him out.

The Ushigoroshi only gave Cole a nearfall. Myles responded by sending Cole outside for a springboard roundhouse kick and a Penalty Kick. Cole was tossed inside the ring but rolled out to the floor, where he was met by a high speed suicide dive.

Myles was just a half a second away from beating Cole after hitting a frog splash from the top. Cole escaped a 450 Splash attempt, but was stunned by a superkick. The second 450 Splash failed again, this time with Cole picking his knees up. Cole attempted the Last Shot, but Myles countered with a roll-up.

Cole kicked out and caught Myles leaping off the ropes with a superkick. Another superkick to the back of the head set up for the Last Shot, finally putting away Myles.

Results: Adam Cole defeated Jordan Myles via pinfall.
