WWE NXT Results: TNA star wins huge award; top champ taken out (12/31/2024)

We got the final episode of WWE NXT from the Performance Center as we head into 2025. Some great matches and some awards were handed out to close out the year.

WWE NXT Results: Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice

In the night's opening match, Jordan took the early advantage, but Vice came back with some big strikes as we headed for a break.

On NXT, Cora Jade showed up at ringside and distracted Lola, allowing Jordan to roll her up for the easy win.

Result: Kelani Jordan def. Lola Vice

Vice attacked Cora and Kelani after the match with a Kendo Stick, and Stephanie Vaquer rushed out to make the save. Vice was about to hit the backfist on Jade, but she dodged, letting Vaquer take the hit. Cora walked out, but Vaquer was knocked out before NXT moved on.

Grade: B-

We got some nominations for Match of the Year, and the winner was Oba Femi vs. Josh Briggs vs. Dijak for the North American Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver.

Giulia was in a promo to talk about her upcoming title match and said that Rhea Ripley, Charlotte, Shayna Baszler, and Asuka were the ones who inspired her.

We got another award for Moment of the Year, and the winner was TNA star Joe Hendry's surprise appearance in NXT.

Cedric Alexander updated Je'von Evans on his condition and said that his jaw was wired shut. Ethan Page came in and threatened to do the same to Cedric, too, before a big brawl broke out, leading to the following match.

WWE NXT Results: Ethan Page vs. Cedric Alexander

We returned from a break to see that the match was already underway, and Cedrice got some big moves in, but Page managed to survive a Michinoku Driver before hitting a big boot to the face. All Ego followed up with a big cutter and picked up the win.

Result: Ethan Page def. Cedric Alexander

Cedric attacked Page after the bell, and Ethan got the upper hand before taking out a box of tools and slamming it on his hand. Medics showed up and assisted Cedric as NXT moved on.

Grade: B

WWE NXT Results: Shotzi & Gigi Dolin vs. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson

Lash Legend was in control early on and made the tag to Jakara, who was taken out by the rest. We got a big sequence of moves before the match devolved into an all-out brawl.

After a break on NXT, Shotzi missed a big dive to the outside before Jackson hit a dive off of Legend's shoulders. The interfering Jacy Jayne tossed Dolin off the apron, which allowed Legend and Jackson to win.

Result: Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson def. Shotzi & Gigi Dolin & Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

Unholy Union appeared on the big screen and said they were looking for a title match and would happily defeat Meta-Four to win.

Grade: B

Vice and Vaquer were arguing backstage, and Jade was listening nearby before Ava came in and said she needed a title opponent for Fallon Henley. Jade was ready to accept the match, but Ava told her she had to win the opportunity in a Fatal Four-Way.

Ava also booked a rematch for the Heritage Cup, and this time, it was a regular match since the last time didn't go so well for Dempsey.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom won Tag Team of the Year, and OTM interrupted their speech and said they would be the new tag champs in 2025.

WWE NXT Results: Sol Ruca vs. Izzi Dame

Ruca had the early advantage, hitting the surfboard on Dame before the latter came back with some big moves as Shawn Spears watched.

Zaria came out to cheer for Ruca, and the latter hit a big moonsault before Dame pulled Zaria out of the way. Back in the ring, Dame got her finisher for the easy pin.

Result: Izzi Dame def. Sol Ruca

Hank and Tank were looking for a tag partner and saw Andre Chase moping in a corner before getting him to agree to be in the match.

Roxanne Perez won Female Superstar of the Year and gave a big speech before we headed for the tag team match.

WWE NXT Results: Wes Lee & Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe vs. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger & Andre Chase

Andre Chase showed up for the match and got superkicked before the match even started. After some back and forth, Tank cleared the ring, and Chase came in for some big moves.

He went for the Chase U gimmick but realized he wasn't a professor anymore and walked out sad. Hank took a stunner off the distraction and went down for the count.

Result: Wes Lee & Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe def. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger & Andre Chase

Ashante Adonis was on the phone, trying to convince Karmen to spend New Year's Eve with him. Nikkita Lyons came in and invited him to a party, but he rejected the invitation.

Mike Rome was about to announce the winner of the Male Superstar of the Year award when he was interrupted by Oba Femi. Femi got in the ring and just took the award from him.

Oba got on the mic and said that the award didn't matter since he was going to be the NXT Champ soon anyway. Trick Williams walked out and said that he appreciated the fans' support, but he knew he had to dig deep to win at New Year's Evil.

Trick said that Oba was beatable and asked him how long he would take off after he was beaten again. The two had a staredown before Eddy Thorpe attacked Oba from behind and broke the award on Oba's head.

Trick and Oba went down, and Eddy posed with the NXT Championship before NXT went off the air.
