WWE NXT TakeOver 36 - 5 surprises that could happen at the show

#4 Timothy Thatcher costs WALTER the WWE NXT UK Championship at TakeOver 36

WALTER will walk into TakeOver 36 as the undisputed WWE NXT UK Champion. Not many men in WWE have been able to pin WALTER since his debut in 2019.

Ilja Dragunov is the only man in NXT who has come close to pinning The Ring General. He showed a lot of grit during their first encounter, and he is ready for more.

Dragunov will have a big chance of defeating WALTER for the title he’s held for over two years now. However, Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner will likely try to help their leader retain the NXT UK Championship and continue his dominance.

WWE could surprise the NXT Universe by bringing Timothy Thatcher into the storyline and having him attack Imperium or WALTER to hand Dragunov the advantage. Thatcher and WALTER have a long-running history, and Imperium did try to come for Toothless Timothy not too long ago.

The angle will allow Dragunov to win the title without hurting WALTER’s credibility. It could also allow WALTER to move to NXT and start a rivalry with Timothy Thatcher.
