Asuka(c) vs Ember Moon - NXT Women's Championship

Did Ember Moon finally land the Eclipse on The Empress Of Tomorrow?

As mentioned by the commentators, this match was Asuka's 10th Takeover match and 8th title defence. Incredible.

The match started quickly as Ember drop kicked Asuka and made her leave the ring early. Even outside the ring, Asuka hit her with a spin kick but Ember would end up hitting a cannonball onto the champion.

The action was still outside as Asuka hit Ember with a suplex onto the steel ramp before the ring. Back in the ring, Asuka was working on Amber's shoulders, bending her joints and putting her through immense pain.

Asuka continued her dominance as she worked on her shoulders brutally. She pressed Ember down while holding her arms while she stomped her "injured" shoulder from behind. There were duelling chants for Asuka and Ember.

While Asuka was working her shoulder from behind, Ember lifted her up and fell behind, finally getting one over the champion. Ember hit a series of kicks followed by a great-looking enziguri.

Asuka continued to press as she tried the Asuka lock, however, Ember reversed it into her own version of the Asuka lock. The champion with her ring IQ took Ember's arm and pulled it to get the hold back.

The champion seemed to have had the lock in place, but Ember dropped her on her back. Ember reversed it to a pin, but the champion escaped. Once again even, the two competitors went at it as Ember hit a tornado suplex onto Asuka.

The two competitors went at each other with strikes, but it was The Empress Of Tomorrow who hit a knee to the challenger's face. Ember Moon got her own offence in before climbing for an eclipse. Once she was getting ready for the eclipse, the champion caught her.

Ember countered and struck Asuka's leg from the middle rope to finally set up the Eclipse. She finally DID land the eclipse but the champion STILL kicked out. By far the most shocking moment of the match.

Ember was ready for another Eclipse but Asuka once again tried using the referee to her advantage. Ember wisened up this time and still tried for the eclipse, but missed and Asuka reversed it for a pin, only for the referee to stop the count due to Ember's shoulder being up.

Ember super kicked Asuka who once again kicked out. Asuka played possum and tricked Ember into an armbar. The challenger tried to pin her but Asuka countered it into an Asuka lock, and The Empress Of Tomorrow once again retained as Ember tapped.

Asuka defeated Ember Moon by submission to retain the NXT Women's Champion

Ember Moon was distraught after the match and she received a standing ovation from the Brooklyn crowd.
