The women of NXT stole the show once again last night as they put on a fantastic triple threat match in the main event. Over the years, Charlotte Flair has become accustomed to main eventing pay-per-views, especially since The Queen was one of three women to main event last year's WrestleMania.
That being said, the current crop of NXT women have not been afforded the same opportunities as Flair and that is only made more transparent by the fact that this was the first women's main event at a Takeover in five years.

The last time the women were given the chance to main event the show was back at NXT Takeover: Respect in 2015, that night it was Sasha Banks and Bayley who collided in an Ironwoman match.
Last night, Io Shirai gave enough of an account of herself to prove that she could go on to main event many more Takeover events as the NXT Women's Champion if the company gives her the chance.
