NXT TakeOver: In Your House - Karrion Kross w/Scarlett vs Tommaso Ciampa

Tommaso Ciampa slowly moved into the newest NXT Superstar before laying in some strong right hands and boots to start the match at TakeOver: In Your House. Karrion Kross shrugged them off, hitting a big boot in the corner. An exploder suplex sent Ciampa to the floor.

Ciampa nearly caught Kross with Willow's Bell as he re-entered the ring, and took down the big man with a boot. Kross responded with a choke that shoved Ciampa over the ropes. A two-handed choke bomb into the apron seemingly damaged the spine of the Psycho Killer.

The former NXT Champion struggled to get out of the gate, and Kross continued to slowly tear him to pieces. A sambo suplex dumped Ciampa on his head. Another one sent him across the ring.

Kross battered Ciampa with several knees to the head in the corner. He demanded Ciampa hit him before ducking a right for a northern lights suplex. Kross rolled on through, picking Ciampa up for a nasty lariat.

Ciampa, back to his feet, pelted Kross with a series of open palm strikes and a step-up enziguri. A running knee laid out Kross, sending him to the floor. As he rolled back inside, Willow's Bell caught him, taking Kross down for the first time in his NXT career.

He kicked out and was met with two more running knees to the dome. Ciampa set up for the Fairy Tale Ending. Kross countered, lifting him for a spinning release fireman's carry slam. Kross then locked in the Kross Jacket, choking out one of NXT's greatest Superstars.

Results: Karion Kross defeated Tommaso Ciampa via submission.

Grade: A

Ciampa put up a great fight against the new beast of NXT, but ultimately got put to sleep by the newcomer. Kross and Scarlett stared on at the broken body of the former NXT Champion as the crowd chanted "Fall and Pray."
