Kyle O’Reilly has been hurt by Adam Cole’s actions on WWE NXT, ending their friendship and The Undisputed ERA. O’Reilly hasn’t been the only one affected by Cole’s actions, as Roderick Strong also seems to have lost his way on NXT.
Over the past several weeks, Strong has looked completely out of sorts and is struggling to get a grip on reality. During a match with Cameron Grimes, Strong was easily distracted by members of the audience who were wearing Undisputed ERA merchandise. Grimes used a UE armband to distract Strong and pick up the victory.
The disbanding of the Undisputed ERA has taken a toll on Strong. The superstar could play a major role at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver during the match between Cole and O’Reilly.
In the final moments of the match, Cole could hit the Last Shot and come close to victory before Strong arrives to ruin the match. Strong could use some weapons to bring the Unsanctioned Match to an end without any conclusive result.
The angle will allow Cole and O’Reilly to have an intense match without ruining the finish. Strong could then become part of the rivalry and the three men could have a Triple Threat Match at a later date.
