NXT Takeover: The End was teased as the end of something, but it turned out more to be a new beginning. With shocking debut appearances and possibly the true beginning of the new era as far as the NXT Championship is concerned as well, here is a lowdown of how ‘The End’ paved they way for a fresh dawn.
Tye Dillinger vs Andrade “Cien” Almas

Dillinger and Almas colllide as they trade holds and run the ropes untill Almas knocks Dillinger with a drop kick. But Dillinger picks himself up as Almas poses on the rope expecting a crowd pop. They continue the back and forth action untill Dillinger catches Almas with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker but is unable to complete the pin.
Both the superstar are on the top rope but Dillinger is sent to the mat as Almas attempts a successful moonsault but is unable to score a pin. Dillinger counters back with a superkick and attempts the Tye-breaker but Almas blocks it and hits Dillinger with a double knee in the corner to pick up the win.
WINNER: ANDRADE “CIEN” ALMAS DEFEATS TYE DILLINGER
NXT Tag Team Title Match: The Revival vs. American Alpha
Its time for the NXT Tag Team Championship match.
The match begins with Gable and Dawson, but Dash is tagged in. Gable is sent to the mat and Dawson comes in Dash. Dawson and Gable trade shots and Gable is sent to the mat with a shoulder attack. Jordan comes to the rescue as he tags in and lands a dropkick on Dash and follows it with a dropkick on Dawson as he attempts a pin but fails. Fans in the arena cheer for him as he keeps Dawson to the mat.
Both the teams stand tall and face off with each other to the cheers of the fans, as they begin to brawl and trade shots. The Revival is sent to the floor. Dash and Dawson are then both caught in leg locks, but save themselves as they reach the ropes. Dash gets the upper hand as he goes for a cheap shot on Gable when Dawson had the referee distracted. Gable tries to fight back as he attacks and attempts a pin on Dawson, but gets knocked out with a huge uppercut.
Fortunately for the American Alpha, they were able to tackle a double team attack as they clear the ring with drop kicks and clothes line.
But soon The Revival are back in action as they re-enter the ring to dominate the American Alpha. After back and forth action, Gable gets hit with a back breaker by Dawson. Dawson gets caught in an ankle lock but he manages to roll Gable up for an unsuccessful pin attempt. The Revival then become the new NXT Tag Team Champions after they hit their opponents with a Shatter Machine to score a victory.
After they leave the ring, a shocking turn of events take place as ‘The Authors of Pain”, Sunny Dinsha and Gzim Selmani attack the American Alphas. We then see the entry of a WWE Hall Of Famer, Paul Ellering, who looks to be their manager.
RESULT: THE REVIVAL BECOME THE NEW NXT TAG TEAM TITLES
Austin Aries vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
RESULT : SHINSUKE NAKAMURA DEFEATS AUSTIN ARIES
NXT Women's Title Match: Nia Jax vs. Asuka
Nia Jax enters the ring followed by Asuka.
The match begins with Asuka getting Jax in a guillotine but Jax breaks it and counters with a suplex. Jax manges to bear hug Asuka but she manages to squirm out of it. Asuka attempts a knee bar but Jax drags herself to the bottom rope to break the hold. Jax tries to attack back but misses the leg drop. She tries to trash talk but gets kicked by Asuka.
Asuka attacks and tried for a pin but fails. Jax powerbombs Asuka but later out of nowhere Asuka catches Jax with an arm bar. Jax manges herself up but gets kicked, followed by another kick. She gets hit by a third kick followed by a running shot. Asuka secures a pin and wins the match.
RESULT: ASUKA RETAINS THE NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP.
Steel Cage Match for the NXT Title: Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe
We have a special guest in ring side, Neville.
The Demon Finn Balor is the first to enter. Then Samoa Joe enters the cage.
The match begins with some back and forth action. Balor tries to obtain the upper hand but Joe uses the cage well as a weapon. Joe continues the offense with some strikes and a enzuguri in the corner.
He heads to the door to escape but Balor manages to catch Joe by his leg. Balor kicks Joe in the head after some striking exchanges between the men. Joe tosses Balor with a German Suplex but Balor kicks out. Joe makes his way up the cage but gets sent to the mat.
Joe then fights back and gets the upper hand in the match.
Joe continues his charge but misses and hits the wall of the cage. Balor then throws Joe onto the cage repeatedly. After a spate of back and forth attacks, Balor knocks Joe with a pele kick.
The fans are excited as both of them end up on the top of the cage and they begin to trade shots. Both men end up on the mat as Balor hits Joe with a Slingblade. Balor tries to pin but Joe kicks out at 2. He tries another Singblade. Joe fights back and manges to get the upper hand this time.
He then tries to end the match with a musclebuster but Balor kicks out at 2.
Balor fights back and tries to control Joe but he tries to block the 1916 Coquina clutch that is applied. Balor manages to break it and manges to climb the top of the cage. But Joe gets Balor back to the ring and hits him with a muscle buster to claim the victory.
