WWE officially announces Kana signing, Kevin Owens tweets Austin photo, Austin Podcast clip

Triple H took to Twitter to welcome new talent Kana from Japan

- WWE announced today the signing of international superstar Kanako Urai, aka Kana, to the NXT division. Kana will officially report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida in late September.

Over the course of her 11-year career, Kana has become one of the most exciting women ever to compete in Japan. She has appeared in many organizations throughout the country and has held multiple championships. For those of you who don’t know, last month, Kana made a surprise appearance at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, sitting in the audience ringside next to WWE Hall of Famer “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Triple H tweeted the following on Kana’s signing:

- Kevin Owens has had an interesting past few months as a member of the WWE main roster, going from a headlining feud against John Cena to receiving minimal mic time on Raw.

Owens was the focal point of the flagship show during his rivalry with Cena, but his TV time has been drastically curtailed since his submission loss at the Battleground pay-per-view. He embarked on a losing streak for the next several weeks before transitioning into a program with Cesaro. Owens says performing in the WWE was always his dream.

However he says all of this would not have been possible if 10 years ago, had a certain Stone Cold Steve Austin would not have crossed his path giving him the best career advice that would change his life. Owens tweeted this cool photo of Austin and himself:

- WWE posted this clip from Steve Austin’s live WWE Network podcast with Edge and Christian, with the former Tag Team Champions playing Austin’s theme on their kazoos:
