Repetitive bookings
The King Barrett vs. Neville and Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler matches at Payback will be haunted a lot by repetitiveness. Both matches happened earlier at Extreme Rules and instead of just letting the superstars plan a similar outing, WWE should add something extra this time around.
There wouldn’t be any difference between Payback and Extreme Rules if it's going to be the same old booking. Changing up the results and adding some overbooking are the possible ways out of these and one another thing WWE could do is make these a qualifying match for either the Money in the Bank match or the elimination chamber match for Intercontinental Championship.
Ryback - Bray feud ending inconclusively
The Ryback - Bray Wyatt has failed to capture the attention of WWE fans due to a lot of reasons. One among that is the lack of build-up. WWE has not spent much time in cooking the storyline thorough and Ryback's lack of brilliance on the microphone did no favours as well.
At the same time, feuding with Ryback is a big step down for Bray who is fresh from his angle with Undertaker. Long story short, WWE needs to end the story as soon as possible. The best option here is to have a clean ending for the match at Payback and invest both the superstars in different feuds. If this does not happen at Payback, WWE will just be stretching out a storyline that the fans do not want to see.
Rusev saying I Quit
The United States championship match at Payback between John Cena and Rusev is sensitive outing for WWE. They cannot simply let Cena say 'I Quit' and at the same time, Rusev saying the same would bury him forever. It's a deadlock situation for the creative team and they have to deliver the goods as well.
It is easy for WWE to bury Rusev at the expense of Cena from what they have done in the past, but an ending in which both the superstars gets protected is what the fans would want. The best thing they could do is let Lana get involved in the entire proceeding and end the match in such a way where neither of the superstars says I Quit directly.
