Strowman dodged the second Sister Abigail and sent Wyatt crashing into some tables set up next to the equipment near the stage. Strowman dragged Wyatt back to the ring before climbing to the top rope at Payback.

Wyatt climbed up after Braun and hit a Superplex, making the ring crash to the ground and the official was tossed outside. Roman Reigns came in while both men were down and tried to pin the champ twice. Strowman kicked out too before getting a steel chair and destroying Strowman but couldn't put him away.

Wyatt locked in the Mandible Claw but Roman hit a low blow to get out of it. Strowman got up and took a spear from Reigns before being pinned by him.

Result: Roman Reigns def. Bray Wyatt & Braun Strowman to become the new Universal Champion

A short but great PPV, Payback saw Lashley win the US title, Nia & Shayna pick up the women's tag titles and the Mysterio family got their long awaited revenge. Roman's return match was a great end to the PPV.
