What’s the story?

Per PWInsider, the WWE not booking Big Cass to appear on this week’s SmackDown Live episode may be a negative sign for Cass.

The angle in reference to which the aforementioned speculation is being put forth has also been discussed.

In case you didn’t know…

Big Cass recently made his in-ring return after spending several months out of action owing to an injury.

Upon his return, several professional wrestling industry insiders noted that Cass is scheduled to receive a huge push as a top-tier WWE Superstar in the days to come.

The heart of the matter

Big Cass competed against Daniel Bryan in a singles matchup at WWE’s Backlash PPV this past Sunday night and ended up losing to Bryan by way of submission.

Nevertheless, Cass went on to attack Bryan, and leave the latter beaten and downed—closing out their segment on the pay-per-view presentation.

While Bryan competed on this week’s SmackDown Live episode against Rusev—with Rusev winning the Men’s Money In The Bank qualifying matchup—Cass was not featured on the show.

The fact that WWE chose not to feature Cass on SmackDown Live, after his prominent attack segment with Bryan at Backlash; is likely a sign that WWE may be holding back on its plans to accord Cass a huge push

What’s next?

Fans can expect Big Cass to continue his feud with Daniel Bryan over the next few weeks on SmackDown Live.

Further details on WWE possibly holding back on Cass’ push are likely to unravel in the days to come.

Author’s take

Big Cass is a phenomenal athlete and has the potential to break through as a top Superstar in the WWE.

However, the WWE roster is a shark tank and with so many hungry, seasoned Superstars on board; Cass may have to scratch and claw in order to make it to the top.

Here’s hoping the 7-footer goes on to achieve greater heights of success in the WWE.
