This week showed signs of how the Shield members would fair individually in the company and added a big match to the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.The traditional ladder match being added to the pay-per-view certainly makes it look better. On top of that WWE gave John Cena and Roman Reigns a place in the ladder match which was announced for the vacated WWE World Heavyweight title.Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose were at it again while the battle royal managed to produce some surprise performances. The midcard is yet to be shaped by the company for the PPV and with that said here is a look at the Power Rankings for this week.
#25 Naomi (Previous Rank- Nil)
Naomi has pushed herself into the Divas title scene after a win of Paige at Main Event. With friction going between Cameron and Paige already, the introduction of another Funkadactyl into the proceedings makes the divas title interesting.
#24 Dolph Ziggler (Previous Rank-23)
The Showoff had a tough week that he had to go through and despite the win over Bad News Barrett, Ziggler drops down one place in the Rankings. He might be the one going to challenge for the Intercontinental title or could end up in the ladder match which is good news.
#23 Alicia Fox (Previous Rank-22)
Alicia’s out bursting character is still hot in the WWE but she is struggling to get a result from that. A loss to Nikki Bella didn’t do any good for her and makes her lose ground in the power rankings. A feud is essential for the character to flourish and WWE needs to do it fast before the fans cool down.
#22 Bo Dallas (Previous Rank-20)
For everyone who Bo-Leived, it was a good week after Bo Dallas delivered a stand out performance in the battle royal. However, it didn’t yield him the win he needed but Bo might still find a place in the second ladder match to inspire others.
#21 Stardust and Goldust (Previous Rank- Nil)
After weeks of trials, Goldust finally met the best partner for him after Cody Rhodes reincarnated as Stardust to magnify the magnificence of Goldust. The win helps the team to get into the Power Rankings and from the looks of it, they are here to stay.
#20 Big Show (Previous Rank-19)
The World’s largest athlete slips down the Power Rankings due to a week of inaction. He is also rumored to be involved with a film which reduces the chance of Show going up the rankings anytime soon. WWE will have to repackage Show strongly after that else it will be a waste of talent.
#19 Alberto Del Rio (Previous Rank-18)
Alberto Del Rio secured his spot in the ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight title last week and was dragged into the angle after that. He ended up in the losing side in the tag team match at SmackDown which costs him one place in the rankings.
#18 Adam Rose (Previous Rank-21)
It was party time for Rose fans as usual this week as the Exotic express rolls into the top twenty. Picking up random wins however isn’t going to take Rose far and the company needs to give him some kind of angle after rumors of backstage people not interested in his character.
#17 Los Matadores (Previous Rank- 16)
With their arch rival disbanded from the company, Los Matadores were confined to the battle royal that took place in Raw. The performance in that wasn’t graceful either and the exciting trio slips down one place in the power rankings after this.
#16 Rybaxel (Previous Rank- 15)
Ryback and Cutis Axel were having a good run in the WWE as Goldust was having troubles to pick his partner. However, it came down badly for Rybaxel thanks to the debut of Stardust. The team will be out to seek revenge next time but till then they are stuck in 16th place in the rankings.
#15 Kane (Previous Rank- 17)
The big red monster might’ve lost against John Cena at Raw but did the job at SmackDown. A win against Dean Ambrose no matter how it came is good for Kane who was left without an angle after Daniel Bryan got injured.
#14 Rusev (Previous Rank-13)
Rusev ran over the one man band Heath Slater this week but failed to produce the same performance in the battle royal where it mattered. Roman Reigns proved to be a big challenge for the Bulgarian Brute who drops down one place in the Power Rankings.
#13 Big E (Previous Rank- 12)
After losing the Intercontinental title Big E is on a downward spiral. And this was further magnified in the battle royal in which Big E ended up short. He is now miles away from the main event scene which he once belonged.
#12 Rob Van Dam (Previous Rank-11)
Like most of the other superstars, Rob Van Dam fell in the Battle Royal. He was eliminated by Bo Dallas which opens future opportunities but Van Dam might be heading for the second ladder match which will give him a chance to be back in the main picture for one last time.
#11 Paige (Previous Rank- 10)
The Divas champion started off her week brightly but fell to Naomi in midweek which didn’t turn out well. Paige however showed some glimpses of her aggressive side which is going to blow the roof off once AJ Lee makes her main roster return.
#10 The Usos (Previous Rank-9)
The Usos came to save Sheamus on Monday Night Raw as he was fending off the Wyatt Family. However, the tag team champions could not get one on the score line after the creepy guys edged out the tag team at Main Event.
#9 Cesaro (Previous Rank-7)
The Swiss Superman has his place guaranteed in the Money in the Bank ladder match for the title but ended up on the losing side on SmackDown which drops him two places down in the Power Rankings Heyman might not be happy with this but he should start looking for improvements.
#8 Bad News Barrett (Previous Rank-8)
Bad News Barrett dispatched Dean Ambrose on Raw this week thanks to some timely distractions from Seth Rollins. However, he didn’t get his place in the Money in the Bank ladder match after being knocked out of the battle royal.
#7 Dean Ambrose (Previous Rank-Nil)
Ambrose unleashed the maniac inside him this week in order to deliver a message to Seth Rollins. He managed to do so but failed to morph the impact into victories as Bad News Barrett and Kane ended up winning against Ambrose.
#6 Wyatt Family (Previous Rank-5)
The Wyatt Family came out of Main event with a win against Sheamus and the Usos. However, Bray Wyatt didn’t have the same luck on Friday night where he ended up on the losing team in the tag match which acted as a buildup to the ladder match at MITB.
#5 Sheamus (Previous Rank- 6)
The Celtic Warrior started off his week with a no contest match against Bray Wyatt. He then lost to the Wyatt Family on Main event but managed to win at SmackDown which raised his stocks in the Power Rankings as he enters the top five.
#4 Randy Orton (Previous Rank-Nil)
The only action that Randy Orton got this week came at SmackDown where his team lost despite having the numbers advantage. Randy Orton will now be looking to pick up his momentum in time for the ladder match where he will be looking to get the title.
#3 Roman Reigns (Previous Rank-Nil)
Roman Reigns was on his own this week and showed that he could handle it. Reigns qualified for the Money in the bank match by winning the battle royal and also had a winning story at SmackDown as his team landed a victory in which Reigns shined.
#2 Seth Rollins (Previous Rank-3)
Rollins announced the second ladder match at Money in the Bank and told the fans that he will be the first entrant in the match. He also picked up wins over the week and haunted Dean Ambrose to further push their feud.
#1 John Cena (Previous Rank-1)
The Cenation leader carried his momentum from last week and won a brutal stretcher match against Kane. In turn, he has qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match now and has the chance of making it 15 titles in his resume.
