Just like most of the superstars in this week’s Power Rankings, The Miz did not have an active match on SmackDown. The Intercontinental champion, however, made a bold move on the show when he challenged Dolph Ziggler to a title vs. career match. The segment not only showcased the heel brilliance of Miz that we’ve been talking about a lot, but it also showed the fans that Miz is on higher grounds when compared to his counterparts.
While one would’ve expected the segment to end via a brawl, it ended with Miz standing tall and Ziggler in a confusing situation: which turned out to be a perfect setting for their upcoming match at No Mercy.
