Former WWE superstar Evan Bourne, who was released from the company earlier this month, has been barred from appearing for rival promotions till the end of September this year.
Bourne was scheduled to appear at Ring of Honor's pay-per-view in Nashville last week, using his former name, Matt Sydal.
Due to a 90 day non-compete clause in the WWE contract, all the released superstars have to make their downside guarantees, rendering them inept to wrestle until September.
Bourne nevertheless appeared backstage for the event and was seen giving advice to the younger talents after their matches.
