WWE Monday Night Raw: 16 June, 2014 - Top 5 Moments of the night

The company was high on pushing their newer generation on Raw this week and it turned out to be an episode that the fans accepted with both hands.Roman Reigns and John Cena were added to the Money in the Bank ladder match which has raised the stakes to a whole new level. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose brushed up their feud as well while there were some solid in ring action throughout the match card.Apart from the usual cheesy segments that the company throws up, there were many moments in the night which deserved a place in the archives. So here is a look at some of the most exciting moments from the night.

#5 Bo Dallas battle Royal Eliminations

It’s been some time since Bo Dallas made his return to the main roster but he didn’t have a big stage to show the fans what he is all about.

The battle royal that went down on Raw proved to be a luck changer for Bo who ended up being in the last three of the match. He also eliminated names like Rob Van Dam and Big E while having great friction with Bad News Barrett.

The way in which Bo eliminated his opponents showed how rooted his old heel gimmick is and staying till the end of the match gave him a lot of momentum.

Reigns might’ve won the Battle Royal but Bo was one of the superstars who benefited from the match.

#4 Debut of Stardust

There were a lot of names in the mix when Cody Rhodes revealed that there is going to be a new partner for his brother.

Names like Prince Devitt, and Chris Jericho was making rounds all around the internet when Raw kicked off and sadly for those fans, it just turned out to be a modified version of Cody Rhodes. The debut was a good swerve from the company’s side and it opens up some good prospects.

Cody trying to copy his brother gave a fresh twist to the team and they might just have a title run left in them or Goldust could grow irritated with the way Cody behaves and we could have the brother-brother feud as well.

#3 Paiges aggressive side

Paige dominated NXT for almost a year and had a gimmick which portrayed her as the most aggressive diva in the NXT roster.

However, when the WWE gave Paige a run in the main roster, she was projected as an underdog who struggled at the start of the match only to come back and win it. The latter gimmick was something that the fans who knew her didn’t accept.

And WWE just might’ve realized their mistake and let Paige show off her aggressive side even though it was just a glimpse of what she did in NXT.

An aggressive Paige is going to be a treat for the fans and the much awaited feud between AJ Lee and Paige will get to a new level if WWE lets Paige do what she does best.

#2 Roman Reigns locking horns with Rusev

From the moment that Triple H announced that there is going to be a battle royal on Raw, the fans were excited. And it didn’t disappoint as well as Reigns emerged as the winner making the fans go crazy.

There were some great moments in the match but one which stood out was the showdown that Roman Reigns and Rusev had in the end. It was clearly the biggest challenge that Rusev had in his entire stay in the WWE.

And the two big men fighting it out for a spot in the ladder match was awesome action packed into limited time. It’s not going to be the last time that these two will face off and after the exchange they had on Raw, it’s worth looking forward to.

#1 Dean Ambrose unleashing Jon Moxley

Before Dean Ambrose made it into the WWE, he wrestled in the Indy circuit as Jon Moxley who was a complete lunatic. Though Ambrose was portrayed as a maniac in the Shield, it was nowhere near the Jon Moxley character.

However, after Seth Rollins turned on the Shield, we are getting to see a more intense Ambrose which peaked this week on Raw.

With the street fight attire that he worn and the way he jumped on to Seth Rollins, Ambrose was just bringing back the Moxley character which he buried for such a long period.

The way he unleashed the lunatic inside prove to be a great moment on Raw and the feud between Rollins and Ambrose is going to sell tickets if Ambrose is going to stick to this path.
