WWE RAW 19th May 2014 - 5 Promising Developments

Dance, drama and London. All of this combined to give one crackling edition of Raw, major thanks to the crowd. A crowd like London always gives the most unlikely heroes, that is, reacting to superstars who normally dont catch a break. Fandango was one of them. Though the night seemed to be a build up to that ultimate Bad News moment with Beat the Clock matches for the IC title. Here are five promising moments for the near future.

#1 The depth of the Wyatt gimmick

This feud between Cena and Wyatt has had one great impact and that is the depth of the character that is Bray Wyatt. Each week Wyatt has something interesting to say and with that he garners a few more followers. Remember the Yes Chants Bryan got at the Rhode Island arena during his cage match with Wyatt? In a similar way, Wyatt had the whole crowd in London singing along with him, waving their hands back and forth. There hasn’t been such a compelling character with so much depth since the Undertaker.

#2 The Will they/Wont they Angle

And so we still don’t know what happens to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship title. The real delight of this segment was Stephanie McMahon, who is Daniel Bryan’s greatest nemesis for the title. It wasn’t just the Championship predicament on a cliffhanger, she also led the UK crowd to believe that Bad News Barrett might become champion, only to bring them back to Planet WWE.

#3 The New Feud

Rob Van Dam hasn’t had any great feud since returning. This might a good chance to have one. Barrett and Van Dam are set to fight for the IC title at Payback. Barrett’s championship reign has been on the news and that’s good news. Atleast, he’ll be defending it.

#4 Fantastic Ms. Fox

And so Paige had to face her first defeat on Monday Night Raw. Alicia Fox was again back near the announcers table after her match but this time she celebrated with Jerry Lawler’s crown on her head as she defeated Paige and is set for a championship bout. Her charisma is spell binding. Her antics have made the divas feud must see.

#5 The Exotic Express

Maybe it was London or maybe Adam Rose’s gimmick is really catching. His entrance was great and the crowd elevated his segment by singing his entrance theme. He actually seems more cool than funny and even though his feud with Swagger is not that convincing, his gimmick is the main takeaway. He can really get a party rolling.
