A good edition of Raw paved way for the first of the Big 4 PPV. The Royal Rumble go-home show saw some decent in-ring action and mainly great storyline development. It was the edition that saw a Raw Reunion of some of the most beloved individuals and tag teams in WWE history. Of course, WWE had its moments where they simply flopped but overall, it sold the Royal Rumble PPV as something one should eagerly wait for despite the unpredictable nature it has followed for its winners in the past few years. Here are the five promising developments from this week

#1 It\'s going to Sting!

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Triple H recieved another Stinger! The man named Sting made his unexpected appearance, albeit for a few seconds, on Raw and helped John cena win in a handicap match. This wasn’t your typical John Cena saves all moment, even though it was built to be something like it.

The Vigilante made his appearance on the titantron and then made his way in front of the live audience. JBL, in what was a hilarious and cool statement, thought that the titantron was showing just a picture of Sting. And Sting was as still as death and then he made a move. It was awesome and the crowd gave him a thunderous pop- something the likes of Hogan, Flair, HBK, Reigns or Ambrose couldn’t equal.

This was the biggest storyline development towards a Triple H Vs sting match at Wrestlemania.

#2 Ambrose Wins

He sold his knee injury well and that gives him something to worry about going into the rumble. But it also gives the fans much hope that the most popularstar of the pastyear can beat these odds and win the Rumble. He is also Ric Flair’s choice to win the big one to which the crowd reacted positively the most. His detractors may say that instead of thinking about winning the Rumble, he should think about winning a singles match. And The Lunatic fringe did that with flair by beating Bad News Barrett clean, despite selling his knee injury well.

#3 Something new for Mizdow.

Well, the backstage segment with the Kliq, NWO reunion could have been another sentimental, mushy moment but it wasn’t. It was one of the better backstage segment accentuated by the fact that Damien Sandow came dressed as X-Pac and it won’t be an overstatement to say that one couldn’t tell the real and thestunt double apart. Sandow is widening his horizons as far as being a stunt double goes. This may be the first inkling towards expanding his character which has remained an extension of The Miz for a long time.

#4 Lesnar\'s a mad, mad man

The climax of the show saw Lesnar F-5 Kane and Big Show but not before beating the crap out of Rollins and it was glorious to watch. Whenever you see Lesnar ramming towards someone, you know everything’s going to fall apart. It all ended in a frenzy and Lesnar stood tall in the ring. a week after Rollins owned everyone he was up against, this raw saw Lesnar and cena having their individual victories and lesnar looking like owns the competition.

#5 Old IS Gold

This episode of Raw had a great mixture of the young and the old but one thing was made clear- these WWE legends will forever be timeless. Their charm will never die out. The night’s greatest moments came when JBL and Ron Simmons united one more time, the New Age Outlaws returned and displayed their ageless-ness, Hulk Hogan and HBK went back and forth and the Nature Boy displayed that he’ll be young forever.

But Sting’s appearance takes the cake by a mile. The 55 year old is loved by old and new fans alike.
