WWE RAW: 2 things that should happen and 2 things that shouldn't happen

What will happen on RAW this week?
What will happen on RAW this week?

SummerSlam, which is the second biggest pay-per-view of WWE, is just a few days away. It will be a pivotal week as some new matches could be added before the show in Toronto. The red brand certainly delivered a blockbuster episode last week and we will be hoping to see another good episode this week.

Two titles changed hands last week. Gallows & Anderson won the RAW Tag Team Championship, while Maria Kanellis became the 24/7 Champion. Following an impressive victory in the Gauntlet Match, Ricochet punched his ticket for SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar gathered attention last week when he destroyed Seth Rollins, including in the backstage area.

The upcoming RAW will take place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. WWE will be aiming to put the best foot forward on the RAW before SummerSlam.

Let's discuss two things that should happen and two things that shouldn't happen on RAW this week.

Cody Rhodes' uncle is a WWE Hall of Famer. More details HERE.

#2 Should happen: A Triple Threat Tag Team Match to decide the number one contenders for Gallows & Anderson

The RAW Tag Team Championship changed hands on the red brand last week. The Revival defended the twin belts against The Usos and Gallows & Anderson. It was an outstanding tag team match, and Gallows & Anderson became two-time RAW Tag Team Champions. SummerSlam is gigantic PPV, and the twin red belts are expected to be on the line in Toronto.

Gallows & Anderson might get their new challengers this week. A number of tag teams deserve the opportunity to challenge the champions. However, a qualifying match should be a fair way to decide it. The Revival, The Usos, and The Viking Raiders could have a triple threat Tag Team Match to decide the number one contenders for Gallows & Anderson.

#2 Shouldn't happen: Drew McIntyre shouldn't be without an opponent at SummerSlam

Even though we are exactly one week away from the Biggest Party of the Summer, Drew McIntyre doesn't have an opponent for the show. The Scottish Psychopath had a match at Extreme Rules, where he teamed up with Shane McMahon to fight Roman Reigns and The Undertaker. While McIntyre's buddy Shane is scheduled to face Kevin Owens at SummerSlam, the former is still uncertain for the show.

The former NXT Champion faced Cedric Alexander on the RAW after Extreme Rules, where he suffered a shocking loss. However, he avenged the loss at RAW Reunion. Cedric Alexander is certainly a talented performer but he is not a big name to headline SummerSlam against McIntyre.

It will be interesting to see if Cedric Alexander and Drew McIntyre meet each other at SummerSlam. Considering the Undertaker and McIntyre crossed paths in a Tag Team Match at Extreme Rules, it will not be surprising if the Deadman challenges McIntyre at SummerSlam.

#1 Should happen: Daniel Bryan should be the unknown attacker of Roman Reigns

Similar to McIntyre, Roman Reigns is another big name who is still without a SummerSlam opponent. Though the Big Dog was supposed to announce his SummerSlam opponent on SmackDown Live last week, it didn't happen. A shocking attack took place as a massive steel structure fell on top of Roman Reigns. Fortunately, Reigns was unhurt after the incident.

It's not rocket science that the unknown attacker is likely to face Reigns at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Since Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns have already faced each other a few times, another match could be tedious for the fans at SummerSlam.

A new rumour is floating that Daniel Bryan is the possible mysterious attacker. If it turns out to be true, Bryan should reveal himself and make the match official on RAW. Bryan and Reigns are incredible performers and they could tear the house down.

#1 Shouldn't happen: The US Title Match shouldn't be a regular match

Styles and Ricochet in action

The United States Championship match is set for SummerSlam as Ricochet will take on AJ Styles. The Gauntlet Match was one of the best matches of RAW last week and the former NXT North American Champion became the number one contender for the US Title.

The rivalry between Styles and Ricochet has been fantastic. In the course of this feud, the two men have faced each other a couple of times but all the matches have been regular bouts. Since Ricochet and Styles are two best in-ring performers of the company, they always deliver exceptional matches. Nevertheless, another regular match could be uninteresting for the fans.

A new stipulation should be added to the US Championship Match this week. If the match becomes a Last Man Standing Match or a Falls Count Anywhere Match, it could steal the show at SummerSlam. Ricochet and Styles could offer some jaw-dropping moments outside the squared circle.
