The Raw go-home show for Wrestlemania is over and it saw one of the most why-didn’t-this-happen-before moment with Stephanie and Sting having an interaction just days before the match between The Vigilante and The game at the grandest stage of them all. There were some highs and lows and Hulk Hogan made an appearance, just by the way. There were ample amount of hype all around and the commentators made this point- Why buy a PPV for $65 when you can have watch Wrestlemania on the WWE Network for $9.99.That tells you how important subscribers, at this point, are to the WWE. Here are the five promising developments from this weeks Raw
#1 Sting and Stephanie
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Finally, not only did Sting kick off Monday Night Raw for the first time ever but he finally had an interaction with the heel magnet that is Stephanie McMahon. Even if she received the ‘What’ treatment, it was an excellent moment when she went on to make many statements humiliating Sting.
In the series of mind games played by Sting against Triple H, only Stephanie McMahon has come with a seething rebuttal. Sting reciprocated the disrespect by winking at her, which gave enough reason to Stephanie to bring back her trademark slap.
Only Sting stopped that from happening. She was shocked and then like clockwork her husband made his way out to the ring. And then she went onto wave at Sting with the same hand and a grin
Triple H came out, Sting still was the one standing tall in the ring, looking really, really strong.
But the point of the matter is that Stephanie McMahon may just make her presence felt at Wrestlemania and that’s always best for business.
#2 It\'s all paying off
For the second week in a row, Nikki Bella was involved in a really good match. This week she defended her title against Paige. Thisalso played out as a solid storyline angle. Bella offered to defend her title against AJ or Paige, given that they decide thewho is going to get that chance. This was a clear trap set by The Bellas to get some ego clashes going between their opponents.
Paige took the chance and came close to winning that amazing match but the match reached its ultimate conclusion when AJ mistakingly hit Paige.
Paige was livid and that led to both of them have a mini- breakdown. The Bellas seemed to be enjoying the view.
#3 That palpable energy
At Wrestlemania, we’re in for two very spectacular, elaborate and lengthy entrances for sure. Undertaker and Bray Wyatt are going to intimidate each other enough, equally that night.
On Monday, Bray Wyatt’s entrance theme amped up the already high energy. It was symbolic of the excitement of his much-awaited match and it was a moment to expect Undertaker making an appearance in some way or the other(which did not happen). The audience participated wholly with ‘You’re a liar’ chants just when Wyatt said that he’s no liar.
Lightning and thunder added ample amount of effects to his promo. For a moment the audience thought that The Undertaker was playing a mind game with those special effects but Wyatt was unperturbed. It was all part of a larger point made by Wyatt that he is the ine who holds the control for these mystical powers.
#4 Three\'s not a crowd but seven is
WWE had Ambrose be on double duty. He was in a tag team match and then he played the special guest referee in the match between Bryan and Ziggler. three of the most popular stars, not only in the Wrestlemania 31 ladder match but the whole of WWE,shared the ring and Ziggler for the second time in 4 days, defeated Daniel Bryan.
As that got over. chaos ensued, and unexpectedly nobody could get hold of the title perched atop. That was your previrew for the much awaited ladder match.
#5 The Name is Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman began his promo with his trademark introductions only to admit that he’s said everything that he could to make one believe in and only in Lesnar. He knows that he is the essential ingredient in selling this feud as the main event and he proudly mentioned that.
In one last promo before Wrestlemania, Paul Heyman succinctly sold the idea of Lesnar being invincible. All of that was great except for what followed next.
Reigns came out to mostly boos and did not speak much of anything. The night ended with both Lesnar and Reigns reaching an impasse holding the title.
