With Hell in a Cell all done and wrapped it is time WWE tried explaining the reason behind what transpired yesterday. Daniel Bryan was once again screwed of the WWE title and a returning John Cena walked out as the World Heavyweight title.
Though the PPV wasn’t the best that WWE could have come up with the resulting events surely have set up the stage for an interesting RAW. Here’s what one can expect from RAW tonight.
1. HBK clarifies his action inside the Hell in a Cell
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
HBK superkicked Bryan costing him what can probably be his last chance to get his hands on the title. It was mostly expected that Shawn Michaels will remain neutral and let the best man win, but somehow for some reason Shawn found it right to deprive Bryan of the title. While most of us expected the mentor to stick with his student, Shawn chose his friend Triple H instead.
What drove Michaels to make such a decision? Expect Michaels to come up and give us a reason behind another screwjob that Bryan has been made to face.
2. The Champ is here
Well, this was something that most of us did expect. How could you expect WWE to make their top babyface lose a match returning from injury? Even Del Rio who managed to put away stern competition like Christian and RVD and sent them into oblivion found it tough to handle Cena who entered the match as a so-called underdog.
Anyway, Cena will come out and celebrate his victory and Del Rio will demand a rematch. The good thing about this is that the World Title will finally find some much needed relevance.
3. Is CM Punk satisfied with the HIAC outcome?
CM Punk emerged victorious last night after pinning Ryback. To add icing to the cake, Punk even managed to get his hands on Heyman on top the cell and hit him with a much deserved GTS. But the problem with all this is that the final showdown between the former manager and client fell somewhat flat. It wasn’t the best ending that WWE could have given this feud.
With that said the question that remains now is whether CM Punk is done with Paul Heyman or are we going to see more of this feud? Though this was most interesting feud running in WWE for the past few months it lost its touch after Lesnar left and WWE has dragged it way too long. Hopefully we will get to see the burial of the feud on RAW tonight.
4. The return of the Big Red Monster
Kane’s return on HIAC was pretty confusing as he attacked the Wyatt Family and at the same time chokeslammed the Miz. Is Kane going to follow the buzzards or was he a bit too angry to know who he was really attacking? Let’s expect to gain a bit more clarity into his return on RAW tonight.
5. Will the restraining order on Big Show continue?
After building up Big Show as a strong opposing force for the past few weeks, WWE let the entire build down the drain by opting a storyline that managed to keep Big Show out of the arena in Miami. A Big Show interference protecting Bryan and letting him win the title would have been a really awesome way to end the show.
The question that remains now is whether Big Show will still be forced to remain outside or will Triple H and Co try and add a bit more spice into the storyline that has already started its descent into the abyss.
