#1 Why did Nia Jax attack Dean Ambrose?
Not long ago, Triple H was asked whether WWE would have intergender matches or not. Triple H replied that he was in a match with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34 but they wouldn’t have singles’ intergender matches unless on special occasions.
Similarly, we see in Mixed Match Challenges that there is an automatic tag in-tag out system when one team tags in a superstar of the opposite gender, which keeps faceoffs to the same-sex only.
However, Nia Jax attacked R-Truth to take his spot in the Royal Rumble and did attack a few male superstars before being hit by a superkick by Ziggler, a 619 by Rey Mysterio, and an RKO by Randy Orton.
While women have usually entered the men’s Royal Rumble, with Chyna, Beth Phoenix and Karma entering in the past, it was surprising that Jax stole the spot and got so much offense.
Similarly, Jax also attacked Dean Ambrose from behind on Raw this week after a face-off, which could signal towards a few intergender feuds in the future.
So is WWE changing its policies to bring in some intergender wrestling to the promotion, or is this all just being used to build Nia Jax as a force to reckoned with?
