Just like last week, this week to a match involving Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre ended up in a disqualification.

While a disqualification never pleases the crowd, it seems as though WWE will continue to use this method to protect its two biggest superstars for now. This could be for something bigger, like a big match at Elimination Chamber, or even WrestleMania 35 if the two men are left without a meaningful rivalry until then.

A victory for Corbin and McIntyre would have closed the curtains on Kurt Angle’s career, who would have most likely had to take the pin, while a victory for Angle and Strowman would have undone all the work being put into Drew McIntyre.

Whatever WWE’s reason was to end another match in a disqualification, it was the right move under the current circumstances.
