#1 Sami Zayn’s position
Sami Zayn’s return was one of the most awaited ones of the year. When he returned, he lost a match to Finn Balor but managed to deliver an A-grade promo to establish himself as a top heel right away. This gave hope to fans that Sami might be in for something great, and could even win his first main roster championship within a couple of weeks.
While WWE has managed to make Sami one of the best heels on television at the moment, they have made a huge mistake with his booking. Since his return, Sami has lost matches for the Intercontinental Championship, the WWE Championship, and now the Universal Championship on Raw this week. This is very bad for a superstar who has the potential to challenge anyone for a title anywhere in the world.
While it will be interesting to see where the creatives take The Underdog from The Underground in the coming weeks since he is being given so much screentime, it’s possible his recent losses have been a result of his inability to travel to Saudi Arabia for the Super ShowDown.
