This could then lead to a match between Lashley and The Miz at Fastlane instead, where The Miz would be forced to be part of the match and the added stipulation would be that the WWE Championship could change hands on a count-out.

This particular strategy would definitely be right out of The Miz's playbook and would allow him to hold the WWE Championship for longer, whilst also letting Lashley remain the strong challenger.
