This was a problem that we stated before the Royal Rumble 2020. When Brock Lesnar appeared on the first episode of RAW this year and announced his entry into the Royal Rumble, there was one major problem - there was no one credible enough to challenge Brock Lesnar.
Due to various circumstances, he wasn't able to defend the WWE Championship as he usually did with the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble. Instead, he entered #1 in the Royal Rumble match itself.
While WWE could easily have put in a name like Ricochet to face Lesnar at the Rumble, they were wise in realizing that there's no point in using a star as a sacrificial lamb for Brock Lesnar.
Rather, it's better to save them for when they're ready and right now, Drew McIntyre seems to be one of the few full-time RAW stars who are genuinely credible challengers for Brock Lesnar.
