Brock Lesnar is like the "final boss" in a video game. He's the last man to get through as he's mostly been on the mountaintop for most of the last few years. Since 2017, there have hardly been 4-6 months where he hasn't been a World Champion.

Seth Rollins needed to get through Brock Lesnar to establish himself as the face of RAW - and he did so in 2 minutes at WrestleMania 35 and beat The Beast clean in the main event of SummerSlam 2019.

WWE wants to pull the trigger on Drew McIntyre and they know that to make him one of or the top face of RAW - they need to have him beat Brock Lesnar clean.

It's essentially his final hurdle before reaching that main event status and beating the WWE Champion at the biggest stage of them all will cement his spot. All it takes is consistent booking, a good storyline, and a win for McIntyre.
