The landscape of the sports entertainment world is about to change with the arrival of AEW. Their inaugural event called Double or Nothing will take place very soon indeed and all eyes in the wrestling world will be on Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks to see what they have for us. It is clear that WWE sees AEW as a threat at this point in time.
What this essentially means is that WWE will pull out all the stops to diminish the threat posed by AEW. The 24/7 Title may be a tactic in this regard, to ensure that there is a sense of urgency about their programming. It is certainly a newsworthy item right before Double or Nothing airs.
