The fact of the matter is that The Kabuki Warriors need brand new opponents to work with because the women's Tag Team Division has been an afterthought in the previous few weeks. Asuka has been working with Becky Lynch and as one would assume, she came up short when the two women tussled recently at the Royal Rumble.
But the Kabuki Warriors need brand new opponents to work with and this means that new tag teams need to be formed. Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott are no longer an option because the Riott Squad isn't a thing anymore and this means that this opens up a very interesting possibility indeed.

Female superstar says she inspired John Cena turning heel HERE
We know that WWE is very high on Lana but she isn't exactly Ricky Steamboat in the ring. Ruby Riott is a significantly better worker and could work the bulk of their matches if these two women come together as a heel tandem.
Such a team would even allow The Kabuki Warriors to turn face in due time.
