WWE RAW: 5 reasons why the 24/7 Title announcement was lackluster

#4 The disappointing design of the belt

Before revealing the title design officially, Foley accidentally revealed some part of it while entering the ring. My first observation? "Why is it green!"

When the title was finally revealed, it was clear that this was one of the worst title designs in history. The title has "24/7" written in the middle and the shape of the belt is also not looking good. I really liked the design of the Women's Tag Team Titles and was expecting something along those lines. I am disappointed! Are you?

#3 Weird way to crown the first champion

Ad

If the title announcement and design weren't weird enough, WWE decided to have the silliest way to crown the first champion. Foley left the title in the ring and announced a scramble to decide the inaugural champion.

That basically meant the first superstar to run to the ring and pick it up would win it. Seriously? At least hang it on something for the superstar to take it off.

I get the stipulation around it, but shouldn't the first champion be crowned in a proper way? Even a battle royal would have been better than this. Instead, we saw several superstars stupidly trying to stop each-other from picking up the belt.
