See, there is no doubt at all that Chad Gable is one of the most talented individuals in WWE. He can do things in the ring that few can do, and he has rightfully been described as the second coming of Kurt Angle by many individuals.
But something or the other has never really worked for him, whether it's as a Tag Team superstar or a singles star, through his WWE run. Many felt that he should have been revealed as Kurt Angle's son and not Jason Jordan, that that storyline first began.

So, in many ways, the fact that he reached the finals of the tournament and beat Shane McMahon to do so in a main event match is a pretty big promotion in itself.
So, even the fact that he lost the match does not really hurt him and has significantly improved his stock.
