One of the points that Samoa Joe made during the Battle Royal pre-match promo was that even though he was a Champion, nobody had stepped up to the plate to challenge the man yet. Mansoor, the winner of the said battle royal, would honestly become the first man to do so and potentially become the next big thing.
It is clear that WWE was pandering to the crowd by having Mansoor win the match which also had other prominent stars, albeit all from the mid-card. But now they have the opportunity to actually make him a pretty big star.

WWE should not lose out on this opportunity because they have a chance to remedy the wrong they did with Rawley. Mansoor, if he has a good feud with Joe, could even become the face of WWE 205 Live.
Plus, we know that Joe can make any showdown against him seem larger than life.
