It is quite clear at this point that Lio Rush will not be a part of the WWE main roster anymore. The fact of the matter is that he has been separated from Bobby Lashley and is, in all likelihood, being sent back to NXT.

Moreover, rumours did arise that Drake Maverick and EC3 would be paired together on screen. But this pairing never did happen, because Vince McMahon wasn't a big fan of the alliance at all.

So now we have a situation where Lashley, one of the most dominant superstars in the current WWE roster is in need of a manager, and therefore Drake Maverick and Bobby Lashley could potentially make a dream team. Much like EC3, Bobby Lashley and Drake Maverick know each other from their time in Impact.
