I'm sure that one of the things you are wondering right now is why Bray Wyatt promised a picnic to Mercy The Buzzard and Abby The Witch, following the death of Ramblin' Rabbit this week. Well, it was a little homage to Waylon Mercy, the character upon which Bray Wyatt is based.
Bray Wyatt was just another guy in the WWE roster before he ran into Dan Spivey, the man who first played the part of Waylon Mercy, an unforgettable character from WWE's classic era. Wyatt adapted elements of Mercy's character, including the Hawaiian shirts to make a unique character of his own.
