WWE RAW: 5 things WWE got just right on this week’s episode (September 16, 2019)

#4 Crowned Baron Corbin the King of the Ring

After almost a month, the King of the Ring had its final match on this week’s RAW. The finalist from RAW, Baron Corbin, took on the finalist from SmackDown Live, Chad Gable, in a great battle which saw Corbin picking up the victory.

At a time when fans were hoping against hope to see the babyface Chad Gable pick up the victory and receive a huge push by becoming the King of the Ring, WWE stayed faithful to the man who’d been doing a lot of dirty work for them in the ring since the past year.

This was a great match and a worthy end to the King of the Ring tournament. It was also Corbin’s best performance in the ring for a long time.

Corbin is good on the mic and in the ring and has a much more refined and distinct character as compared to Chad Gable. These factors alone are good enough reasons for WWE to crown him King, as he can take the momentum forward and use it in some big storylines and feuds.

Even though we expect Corbin to be an unfair King during his run, it could mean that he will receive some good bookings in the coming weeks.
