WWE Monday Night Raw: 7th July - Superstar Ratings

WWEs lack of credible heels was there to be seen on Monday night as the Authority was enjoying their vacation. In their absence, it was the in ring action which took centre stage and of course the shop stopping match between Seth Rollins and John Cena.If Cena manages to hold on to the title further, that match could end up being a curtain raiser for the title match in near future. Rusev got another good opponent to fight while El Torito was back in the ring seeking some inspiration.Almost all the storylines saw some interesting progress this week and WWE seems to be setting up Battleground well. And here is a look at the superstar ratings for this week.

#18 The Miz 4.5

The Awesome multi-platform former world champion, Miz wasn’t having the return he expected. The match with Chris Jericho didn’t do Miz any good and the way he is been booked now brings back a big question mark on why the WWE is still having him in the roster if they don’t use him.

#17 Bo Dallas 5

The reason why Bo Dallas got over with the fans was the way he was handled by the company. They give him enough space to develop his character and improvise which turned out to be a successful venture. However, this week he was pushed into a comedic segment which could hurt in near future.

#16 Dolph Ziggler 5.5

The Show off went up against Alberto Del Rio for the millionth time and ended up losing thanks to Fandango. The company seems to be pushing forward the idea of pairing Ziggler and Summer Rae against Fandango and Layla and this was their first move for that storyline.

#15 Rob Van Dam 6

Rob Van Dam has been giving the youngsters a run for their money recently and this week was no different. He put over Rusev well with the match and though Van Dam doesn’t have a good storyline to his aid now, it would only be a matter of time if he continues giving performances like this.

#14 Cesaro 6

The Swiss Superman suffered another disappointing or surprising loss this week. He is being wasted on the angle with Kofi Kingston when he was well placed to have a main event run after winning the Andre the Giant battle royal and being Paul Heyman’s new client.

#13 Kofi Kingston 6

Kofi isn’t one of those stars that we expect to win matches consecutively, however his run with Cesaro produces the same. This might not help Kofi on the long run, but he has some kind of momentum right now which makes him a good challenger in the Battle royal.

#12 Rusev 6.5

WWE seems to be finally putting Rusev to some use these days as he is getting a different class of opponents than the ones he usually gets. A win over a former world champion like Rob Van Dam is certainly good news for Rusev who seems to be heading into a feud with Jack Swagger.

#11 Chris Jericho 6.5

First of all, it was good to seen Chris Jericho back in to the ring. He seemed a bit rusty at points but had enough gas left in him to make the match look good. His program with the Wyatt family was pushed forward as well and Jericho might be locking horns with Luke Harper or Erick Rowan soon.

#10 Alberto Del Rio 6.5

Alberto Del Rio has established himself as the No.1 contender for the United States title. The win he got against Dolph Ziggler is WWE’s way of letting us know that the Mexican is a great challenge for Sheamus and his run, apart from that, it was not the usual level of energy from both superstars.

#9 Kane 6.5

The big red monster looked stranded in the absence of the Authority and proves again that he needs a new identity. Kane still looks like nothing more than Randy Orton’s helping hand in the match at battleground unless WWE decides to let him swerve against the Authority.

#8 Sheamus 6.5

The Celtic Warrior was having a show on Raw where he further buried Damien Sandow. This was a set up to show how strong he is before he faces Alberto Del Rio at Main Event for the United States title and probably before the two meet again at Battleground.

#7 Randy Orton 7

Randy Orton faced Dean Ambrose for the second time in a span of seven days and he ended up getting a win as well. Orton was in desperate need of a win no matter which way it came and this week served that purpose. He has some kind of momentum heading into Battleground but WWE will have to find something new for the Viper.

#6 Seth Rollins 7

With the money in the bank briefcase by his side, Rollins is slowly showing signs of his progress as a heel character. He had a great tactic heading into the match against Cena and Ambrose lurking around the corner made matters intriguing.

#5 John Cena 7

The Cenation leader was met with some bad reaction from the crowd but still managed to have a solid match with Seth Rollins. The fact that Rollins was able to cash in the contract at any point was the breathing air of the match which Cena wouldn’t remember for a long time.

#4 Dean Ambrose 7.5

Ambrose is turning into one of those characters who don’t need wins to stay relevant in the division. His angle with Rollins is clearly WWE’s best program right now and the climax of this is still a mystery since Ambrose will be stopping Rollins from cashing in the contract no matter what.

#3 Wyatt Family 7.5

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan went against the Usos in another solid match this week while Bray Wyatt had his time to haunt Chris Jericho. This could be counted as another great week for the trio that has been consistent both in their in ring performance and promo.

#2 Usos 7.5

Usos once again proved that they are deserving champions by delivering a great match with the Wyatt Family. Though these two teams have been facing eachother for a long time now, it still was packed with a lot of in ring action which made it stand out.

#1 Roman Reigns 8

Reigns were given the entire spotlight this week and in the absence of the Authority he simply stood out as a winner. He had time to talk and ended up staring at John Cena which teases a potential feud in the future between those two big names. Reigns was the last man standing as well making the intentions of WWE clear.
