Austin, Texas had one hell of a show this week as they were lucky enough to see Daniel Bryan contest in the main event and that too in three matches. As if that wasn’t enough he had a wonderful match with Indy favorite Antonio Cesaro which made many realize if this was indeed a dream. While that happened towards the end of the show, the remaining half part seemed to be a dull encounter to say the least. Here are the flops of the show this week.
1. Total Divas Show
Ok, I don’t think there is a lot to say about this except for the Bellas. I guess Brie knew all along that this show was going to be a disaster. Anyway the segment was completely meaningless as it failed to make any sort of impact on the fans. It was a good break for many after a boring 2 hours from RAW. Miz was flat as usual and it makes me wonder just how long will WWE keep him as a face.

2. The Shield enter a mid-card feud
Mark Henry and the Usos vs the Shield. WWE’s inability to book feuds has brought the hottest stable in WWE’s recent times to the position it is in right now. After rubbing shoulders with the best in it’s first few months, the Shield now looks very low on momentum. WWE’s poor tag-team division development has now put it in a fix as it is not able to find a good opponent for the Shield, thereby forcing a feud with the Usos who are being shoved down our throats as a legitimate rival for the Hounds of Justice.
3. RVD vs Wade Barrett
There are two ways that this match can be viewed and both quite clearly indicate this match to be a huge flop. No disregard to both these wrestlers’ talent as they managed to give a decent match, but the fact that Wade Barrett who once a top World Heavyweight title contender is now being wasted as a jobber only shows WWE’s poor booking abilities in the mid card. Also there is no specific direction as far as RVD’s push is concerned and it is worrying because more matches like this can make RVD’s support dwindle down slowly.
4. WWE using Daniel Bryan to get John Cena some support?
The contract signing that opened the show was a decent segment to say the least. But there was one thing that made this segment completely outrageous and it was WWE’s attempts to help Cena gain some support through Daniel Bryan. The company’s top face is having huge problems getting support and WWE now wants to use Bryan’s popularity to give the Champ some credibility. Cena’s supportive attitude when Maddox interrupted Bryan and Cena saving Bryan from Ryback during the end indicate only this.
5. Del Rio vs Sheamus
Sheamus had an injury to sell which he did quite well and Del Rio did what he was told to. But the point of the matter is whether Dolph Ziggler is out of the title picture? If so, then it is pretty sad for the workhorse. After working so hard to get to the top, WWE has pushed Ziggler back again to the mid-card to feud with Big E Langston. Let’s hope this is not the case and we will get to see Ziggler in the future contest the World Heavyweight title.
