WWE RAW: Flops of the show

Fandango

Fandango

WWE RAW was pre-taped this week, which gave the company the opportunity to do the best with their show, but the resultant show was hardly worth it. The show managed to show some good moments here and there, but the problem was the obscene amount of filler materials that were shown this week, which totally spoilt the better moments that the show managed to give us.

Anyway without further ado, let’s look at the flops of this week’s RAW.

1. Fandango

Without doubt, the biggest loser of the night as Fandango lost his match against RVD after he chose to walk out. In WWE’s defence, one would say that WWE doesn’t want Fandango to lose a match by getting pinned, the problem with this sort of match is that it has happened far too many times to bring any sort of meaning. We have seen Fandango walk away a lot of times now, and this is surely hurting his ability to pose as a strong wrestler. His win against Chris Jericho assumes lesser meaning now and let’s hope we get some sort of feud going with Fandango either against RVD or Wade Barrett.

2. The Bellas

Quack Quack anyone? Yes, that’s the latest weapon that the Bellas have come up with to win matches. Brie Bella and Natalya were facing each other, and Brie managed to win the match courtesy some effective strategy employed by Nikki. So what’s quack quack, you ask me? That’s the newest kazoo that Nikki used to distract Natalya. What the duck (?) was the first response I managed to give out from this as the end was as insignificant as the match itself. Sadly Natalya who looks a better competitor than the Bellas isn’t enjoying a really good time in the ring these days.

3. The Shield & the Usos

It’s official now; the Shield has now entered the mid-card, and despite their win the Hounds of Justice, no longer look as convincing as they used to. Maybe their fall is due to the problems they had backstage, but frankly their match against the Henry and the Usos, though interesting, didn’t manage to garner a lot of clarity. Now that the Usos and Henry have faced the Shield again on RAW, what is WWE planning to do with them at SummerSlam? Are we going to see a repeat where the Shield will win again or were the Usos pushed just for a single PPV? Either way, both the teams are losing a great deal with this particular feud.

4. AJ Lee and Big E Langston

AJ Lee and Big E Langston lost their respective matches this week and Ziggler managed to remain one step ahead of them this week too. Ziggler and Big E had a good match going on, which ended abruptly courtesy AJ Lee who managed to interfere and spoil the fun. AJ who’s looking to extract some revenge on Dolph is failing every week and this has only added to her frustration. Will Dolph manage to stay ahead and continue to outsmart AJ and Langston?
