WWE Raw, March 17, 2014: Triple H shows why he is the biggest heel in WWE

‘Authorizing’ an assault

Triple H kick started the latest episode of Raw, as he talked about how he knows that he will defeat Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX. But his speech was curt short by Batista, much to his dislike. Batista spoke out his frustration on Triple H giving Daniel Bryan a chance at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on WrestleMania XXX. Randy Orton entered and joined in his former ‘Evolution’ teammates and asked Triple H for a No Disqualification match against Bryan, which he got.

Orton, then, went ahead to insult his WrestleMania opponent, Batista, by telling him that people don’t care about him. Batista, replied to this insult by telling him that “he suck(s)” and that he is the champion because of Triple H. The Authority leader, grown sick of all Bryan, Batista and Orton, delivered a BIG blow to both Orton and Batista by telling them that if he wins his match against Bryan at WrestleMania, then he will be facing Batista and Orton in a Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

A game-changing move by Triple H started the night with a shocking announcement, but the crowd was very much pleased with it. The segment ended with Orton giving an RKO to Batista, to increase the heat in this WrestleMania main event storyline, which was nearly dead a few weeks ago.

Just like the start, Triple H was again in the ring to end the show. He invited Bryan to a man-to-man conversation and said that since SummerSlam he’s been doing what’s best for business and has been protecting Bryan, and despite what Bryan did last week, he has no hard feelings, he then offered a handshake to Bryan, which Bryan rejected.

Triple H, then, said that Bryan has “earned his (my) respect,” much to Stephanie’s frustration who entered and told Bryan that she’ll be “pressing charges” on him for “endangering” her and Triple H’s life. The ‘police officers’ entered and proceeded to arrest Bryan by handcuffing him. All this while Triple H was pretending to defend Bryan, he made the officers leave the ring only to attack Bryan, himself.

This attack turned into an assault as Triple H viciously started beating a handcuffed Bryan all around the announce table. He threw him over the announce table, on to the steel steps, the barricade, tore his shirt and smashed a chair on his skull while he was lying against the ring post. All this time there was an evil look on Stephanie’s face, who was really enjoying the site, she even slapped Bryan many times to which Bryan replied by saying that she “hits like a girl.” No wonder this couple ruled WWE during the Attitude Era.

What happened was definitely nowhere close to the PG standards. Watching their hero getting assaulted by Triple H made the crowd boo the Authority leader who only stopped after delivering a pedigree to Bryan in the middle of the ring. This heel move by Triple H exceeds his own personal best, as we have seen in the past.

It looks like the most hated player of the past decade is back to show what a real heel is. You asked it from Orton, and now you are getting it from the best. The night, definitely, belonged to Triple H (even for the bad reasons) as he announced the possibility of his participation in the WrestleMania XXX main event match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and by viciously assaulting his WrestleMania opponent he has made it clear that Bryan’s WrestleMania dream will be turning into a nightmare.
