Love is in the air as the WWE Universe prepares for another Valentine’s Day. But before the big day arrives, the fans are going to be treated with the latest edition of Raw which promises to be a stellar show.
Carrying the heavy load of Elimination Chamber buildup on their back, the WWE creative will be putting on their thinking hats once again so as to make sure that they make all the right moves. Last week, they managed to put on an average show with a great main event. However, the show lacked continuity to much of the storylines and many of the questions were not answered.
Already stirred up, the fans are sure to make their sounds heard and ruin the segments no matter what if another show is booked similarly. So let’s take a look at what all the company should lay out in order to send everyone home happy and save their face as we edge closer to WrestleMania.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
What’s with Kane?
At first it was an exciting thing to see Kane get back in the ring and choke slam the hell out of CM Punk. He then seemed to build a consistent feud with Punk before the straight edge superstar went missing.
But now, Kane is among those confusing superstars that makes minimum sense. He comes out every time and takes his anger out on someone with an apology packaged along with it. If WWE is trying to project Kane as a person having multi personality disorder- well they need to write that and stick it in his head.
The feud with Daniel Bryan looks certainly on the cards, but Kane continues to deny that his actions aren’t aided by the Authority which makes him look weak. The absence of CM Punk has hurt Kane dearly and the company should think about projecting him better if they are to make him involve in major in ring work.
Seth Rollins torn apart
The Shield breakup storyline has been among the best in the company. The creative has put on a lot of fire into the friction between Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns which indicates that these two will be the major catalysts for the eventual explosion.
But what does this hold for Seth Rollins?
Arguably, he is the best in ring worker in the Shield and has played a mediator’s role so far in the tussle between Reigns and Ambrose.
But which side will he take when the time comes?. There has been no signs about that so far and Rollins still seems to be in a limbo. If the company is planning to make Reigns a top star then Rollins is sure to remain heel. However, Rollins has incredible charisma performing as a baby face which might force them to think otherwise.
Either way, the company needs to have some sort of buildup instead of throwing a stale surprise.
Lesnar’s direction
After man handling the Rhodes Brothers a couple of week ago, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman left a notable void last week on Raw.
Apparently he is not getting the title shot he wants and Lesnar is sure to react to the situation. At this point, he stands with no storyline and could go to any way but having absences like last week are going to hinder the buildup if the creative is planning anything big for him.
Clearly he is not going to be involved in a match if he makes an appearance, but Lesnar presence and Heyman’s promo would be enough to uplift the crowd.
Some light on what Lesnar plans next would also be the best thing to do as a star like him should be utilized to the core rather than allowed to be wandered like this.
Orton falls again?
Apparently, the Authority has lost their faith in the WWE World Heavyweight champion who fell against Daniel Bryan at Raw last week.
Though he picked up a solid win against Christian at SmackDown, Orton still has three men waiting for him. Sheamus, Cesaro and John Cena are sure to deliver great competition for the champion and there are chances of him taking another fall before the Chamber match approaches.
The absence and rumored injury of Cena might work for Orton but he still has to do a lot to prove that he is a worthy champion.
Authority backing Daniel Bryan after last week’s win might further hinder Orton’s credibility and he seems to be headed into Elimination Chamber with the worst case scenario.
We Want Punk
The WWE universe is proving to be more vocal as each week passes and after taking over the shows with Yes chants; they are now focusing their attention on the absence of CM Punk.
Punk has been absent since Royal Rumble and to make things worse the company is yet to acknowledge his absence. There are many stories making the rounds in the internet about the absence with some suggesting that all this is part of a storyline.
For now the only fact that can be confirmed is that Punk is contracted with WWE till July.
Whatever the plans are, WWE needs to push in Punk’s absence into some kind of storyline because the fans are not dumb to believe that boogeyman came and dragged Punk into the closet.
