WWE Monday Night Raw came to us tonight from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. The WWE faced some issues before the start of the show as the electricity went off at the venue because of a summer storm. But thankfully the show went on as per the schedule.

Rusev called out Roman Reigns / Jon Stewart’s SummerSlam return confirmed
The show kicked off with US champion Rusev and Lana refused to leave the ring until they say what they want to say. Rusev wanted Roman to apologize to him and his wife for his actions from last week. If he fails to do so, Rusev threatened not to leave the ring.
Mick Foley came out to get Rusev out of the ring, but the champion mocked the WWE Hall of Famer by saying that Foley sucks for giving an undeserving challenger like Roman Reigns a shot at the United States Championship.
He also called out Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon and she obliged. She ripped apart Rusev for disrespecting Mick Foley, but Rusev claimed that he deserves respect for being the champion of the show and threatened to call SmackDown GM and commissioner Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, two men who appreciate talent.
Roman Reigns interrupted and apologized before making yet another Russian bride joke on Rusev and Lana. Roman wanted to fight Rusev rightaway as they were separated by Foley. However, Rusev said that the match is more than a United States Title match and it is about defending Lana's honour. So, Foley announced a match between Rusev and Roman in a non-title match later in the show to defend Lana's honor.

On a side note, it's been officially announced that Jon Stewart would be returning to WWE TV at this year’s SummerSlam as a guest of RAW. He would be in Brooklyn and would be involved in a segment of some sort. He was also present at last year’s SummerSlam where he cost John Cena his match against Seth Rollins.
Sheamus vs Sami Zayn
This match was a result of Sami Zayn’s tweet which he put out supporting Cesaro against the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. With Cesaro sitting alongside Michael Cole, Byron Saxton and Corey Greaves, both Zayn and Sheamus put on a solid match.
Both of them started to brawl even before the referee rang the bell. Sheamus looked dominant in the match. When Sheamus had the match in his hands, Cesaro came down to distract Sheamus as he was setting up for a Brogue Kick and the distraction allowed Zayn to decapitate Sheamus with a Helluva Kick for the victory.

Tom Phillips’ backstage interview with JeriKO
With Kevin Owens scheduled to face Big Cass one-on-one on Raw, Tom Phillips interviewed JeriKO and was abruptly interrupted by Chris Jericho as he claimed that it isn't one-on-one since Jericho is in Owens' corner. Owens said that he will teach Cass how to spell properly before both the members of JeriKO referred Tom by various names before they humiliated Enzo & Cass in Brooklyn as the segment came to an end.
After the commercial, Sheamus and Cesaro were found screaming at each other till Mick Foley came in as the peacemaker before making a best-of-seven series between the two with the first match taking place at SummerSlam.

New Day vs Dudley Boyz
The New Day sans Big E walked down to the ring to face the most decorated tag team pair before they were interrupted by Dr. Gallows and Dr. Anderson, who continued from where they finished last week as they began to talk about ring positions and microwaved a testicle.
The match got underway and the New Day finished off the former tag team champions quickly, thanks to a trouble in the Paradise to D-Von, who accidently pushed Bubba out of the ring.
After the match got over, the Club appeared on the screen and revealed that their experimentation with the egg failed as it went boom in the microwave and admitted that they need more test subjects.
Kofi Kingston took the mic and started talking about the Power of Positivity as the New Day built up their match at SummerSlam.

Nia Jax vs Rachel Levey
After the commercial, Seth Rollins was spotted searching for Finn Balor’s alter ego, the Demon King and when he came across Neville, the former NXT champion warned the former WWE champion about what it takes to be in the ring against the demon and that left Seth angry.
Yet another squash match for Nia as she beat heavily-tattooed, blue-haired enhancement talent Rachel Levey comfortably.
The WWE should stop booking Nia in squash matches and instead, they should make her have a rivalry and put on a solid match.
Winner: Nia Jax

Paul Heyman cuts a promo
The beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar, along with his advocate Paul Heyman walked down to the ring to cut a promo on Brock’s atch at SummerSlam. Even before Paul Heyman uttered a single word out of his mouth, Heath Slater came out to the ring demanding a chance to face Brock one-on-one.
Lesnar took over the mic from Heyman and invited Slater into the ring to talk about Slater’s family. Lesnar told him that he “doesn’t give a sh*t” about Slater’s children and gave Heath one last chance to walk away, but he didn’t take it. Instead, he decided to attack Lesnar before taking a trip to the Suplex City followed by a F5.
Later, Heyman cut a good promo on Brock’s match at SummerSlam against Randy Orton.

Big Cass vs Kevin Owens
Enzo Amore and Big Cass made their way to the ring and cut a promo before Owens walked out to face Big Cass with Jericho backing the former Intercontinental champion.
Jericho couldn't keep his hands to himself and assaulted Cass. KO and Y2J laid Cass out to send out a strong message after the match ended in DQ. After the match, JeriKO attacked Cass.
Winner: Big Cass via DQ
After the match got over, Rusev attacked Roman Reigns backstage in a fit of rage. The officials came to the rescue to minimize the carnage as Rusev exclaimed that Reigns would pay for the what he did to Lana last week on Raw.

Primetime Players vs The Shining Stars
The former WWE tag team champions reunited before tonight’s Raw and walked out with Darren Young’s life coach, WWE Hall of Famer Bob Bucklund.
When Titus was listening to Bob’s advice outside the ring, he was unintentionally pushed down by Young. In return, he went on to deliver the Clash of Titus on Darren to lay him out as Epico and Primo got the victory.
Winner: The Shining stars

Jinder Mahal vs Neville
In a quick match, Neville beat Jinder Mahal with a Corkscrew Shooting Star Press.
Winner: Neville
Seth Rollins was inside Stephanie’s office as he was hell-bent on searching for Demon King, but he failed in doing so. For all the effort he's put in his demon hunt, the Architect asked for the night off. Foley had a better idea as he asked Rollins to call out the Demon king in the middle of the ring as the segment came to an end.
Segment Rating: 4.5/10 (Mainly for Rollins)
Seth Rollins calls out the Demon King
The architect of the Shield obliged to Foley’s advice as he walked out to the middle of the ring to call out the Demon King and all of a sudden, Rollins was taken by surprise by someone who barged into the ring.
Moments later, the lights went off and slithering out of the smoke, the Demon King made his way down the ramp to the ring. Both the competitors for the WWE universal championship went after each other and when Balor went for the Coupe De Grace, Rollins rolled out in the knick of time, but Balor jumped over the top rope on Rollins and stood tall as the segment came to an end.

The Club vs The Golden Truth
Yet another quick match as Gallows and Anderson beat the Golden Truth with a Magic Killer.
After the match, the New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods came out and attacked the Club. Andeson should be thankful to Gallows as Gallows pulled his teammate out of the ring as he would have had his cahones smashed by the trombone at the hands of Woods.
After New Day’s attack, former WWE women’s champion Charlotte was bashing Dana Brooke for letting her down last week on Raw as the segment came to an end.
Winner: The Club
Segment Rating: 5.5/10
Charlotte vs Alicia Fox
Charlotte and Alicia Fox went up against each other with the champion Sasha Banks on commentary.
Charlotte picked up an easy win and called out Sasha Banks, who obliged Charlotte and made her way to the ring. Dana Brooke came out of nowhere and made things easier for Charlotte by taking Sasha down.
Charlotte locked in the figure four leg lock and the Boss tapped out in sheer pain.
Winner: Charlotte
Rusev vs Roman Reigns
With Rusev’s bride Lana’s honour on the line, the US champion took on the challenger for his title, Roman Reigns in the main event of Raw.
Reigns got the better of Rusev with a spear. Is this the sign of things that will happen at SummerSlam? Or will Rusev walk out of the arena as the US champion?
Winner: Roman Reigns
