Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns met again tonight and it was a surprise this match wasn’t the main-event. The match had an explosive start at the two men threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other. They both pulled out their big moves before the match spilt out to ringside where Joe drove Roman back-first into the main-event. Joe was still firmly in control when we got back from commercial. Joe continued to take Roman apart one piece at a time. As Joe tried to lock in a headlock, Reigns finally made it back to his feet only to be driven down again. Joe missed another attempted Senton as Reigns looked to rally.

Reigns took Joe down with a clothesline and hit him with a big boot when he’d made his way back to his feet. Roman then signalled for the Superman Punch but Joe rolled out of the ring. Roman followed Joe out and hit him with a Drive By.

Roman rolled Joe back into the ring and went for the Superman Punch but Joe caught him in midair and hit him with and Atomic Drop before hitting him with a big boot followed by a Senton for a nearfall. Joe then looked for an Uranage but Roman countered it with an armdrag before hitting him with a Superman Punch for the nearest of falls. Joe just managed to kick out in time. Joe then hit Roman with an Uranage Slam out of nowhere for another nearfall as the match reached its crescendo.

Joe made another attempt at locking in the Coquina Clutch but Roman drove Joe into the turnbuckle and hit him with a spear. It looked over as Roman covered Joe but Joe managed to get his foot on the rope. Fans chanted ‘this is awesome’ as Joe rolled back into the ring to break the 10-count.

The sound of an ambulance interrupted the match as we saw an ambulance backing up into the arena. It turned out to be Braun Strowman and Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch on the distracted Roman Reigns, forcing Roman to submit.

As Roman was still down on the mat, Strowman came down to the ring with a mic. He told Roman that he had forgotten that Braun hadn’t finished with him. He just deadlifted Roman and slammed him face-first into the mat.
