We were treated to an epic main event

Raw is being broadcast from Glasgow, Scotland for the first time in its 23-year history. The show ended last week with Jericho and Owens beating the pulp out Roman Reigns before Seth Rollins came out for the save.

With just a couple of weeks to go till Survivor Series, we’ll also get a look at how the Survivor Series teams are shaping up ahead of the big show.

Stephanie announced the 5th member of team Raw

Seth Rollins was announced as the 5th member of Raw’s Survivor Series team

Stephanie comes out first to address the raucous Glasgow crowd. She says that she’s come out to address the battle that has encapsulated the WWE Universe – the battle between red vs blue - the battle between Raw and SmackDown.

She starts off by announcing the first four members of Raw’s Survivor Series team – Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. Then Stephanie announced the 5th and final member of Team Raw – ‘the man’ Seth Rollins.

Rollins warns Owens and Jericho that after this was over, he would be coming after them. Jericho and Owens then warned the other 3 members that they were co-captains but their ensuing pep talk broke down into a melee as Rollins and Reigns went at it with Owens and Jericho. Owens and Reigns brawled outside the ring as Jericho and Rollins brawled inside. Strowman then got involved and took out both Rollins and Jericho before Stephanie came back out and announced that all 5 men would get the chance to settle their differences later in the night.

Brian Kendrick and Noam Dar vs Rich Swann and Sin Cara

Noam Dar received a huge ovation from his fellow Scots as he made his Monday Night Raw debut as he teamed up with Brian Kendrick to take on Rich Swann and Sin Cara.

Dar and Swann locked up to start off the match. Dar got the early advantage, hitting a sweet corner dropkick before Swann tagged in Sin Cara. Sin Cara dodged a clothesline before sending Dar to the outside with a huge clothesline of his own. Sin Cara rolled Dar back in before going to the top rope but Kendrick pushed him off while the referee wasn’t looking as we head into a break.

We come back to see Kendrick in control as he tagged Dar back in. Sin Cara delivered a huge deadlift powerbomb before both members made a tag. Swann came in with babyface fire hitting Kendrick with a double stop followed by a hurracanrana and a jumping splash as Sin Cara hit Noam Dar with a springboard Swanton Bomb on the outside.

Swann, meanwhile, hit Kendrick with a Body Scissors Roll-Up for the pinfall.

Rich Swann and Sin Cara def. Brian Kendrick and Noam Dar

Kendrick takes the mic after the match and indignantly blamed Noam Dar for the loss before hitting him with a cheapshot. Dar hit back with forearms followed by a running Savate Kick to end the segment with the hometown crowd behind their man.

The New Day address their Survivor Series teammates

The New Day came out in traditional Scottish kilts

Enzo and Cass come out next and address the WWE Universe. They sent out a warning to the teams on SmackDown’s Survivor Series team before they were joined by The Club, The Goldern Truth and Cesaro and Sheamus.

Sheamus takes a potshot at Scotland’s chances of qualifying for the Football World Cup before announcing that he wanted to make himself the Survivor Series tag-team before getting shut down by Enzo, Cass and Luke Gallows.

Cesaro hits back at Gallows saying that if he wanted to insult him, he should have said that he looked like the 3rd member of The Club. He also added that if The Club wanted to insult Sheamus, they should have just called him the Red Rooster.

All 4 teams were then joined by WWE Raw Tag-Team Champions The New Day who addressed their Survivor Series tag-team partners.

The New Day come out dressed in kilts with Xavier Wood’s carrying bagpipes which he calls Francesca’s Scottish cousin Angus. The New Day enter the ring to address their fellow teammates but The Club say that with captains like The New Day, they would lose. Big E channels Braveheart in a rousing speech to their future teammates.

Enzo and Cass, The Golden Truth and Sheamus and Cesaro agree to join The New Day at Survivor Series. The Club, also agreed reluctantly, but they threatened to stab every team in the back after they were done with SmackDown. They proceed to call The New Day a joke which led to a tag-team match between The New Day and The Club.

This was followed by a backstage segment with Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens trying to convince Braun Strowman to align with them. Jericho kept losing his cool and Owens did his best to reel in the situation but the segment ended with Strowman walking away and declaring that he was on Team Braun.

The Golden Truth vs The Shining Stars

The Shining Stars put on a decent performance

With the Shining Stars tricking R-truth into giving over the Golden Truth’s Survivor Series spot earlier in the night, the winner of this match will decide which team will be in the match at Survivor Series.

Primo and Epico worked over R-Truth at the start of the match and isolated him and worked him over with some great teamwork and double teams. The Shining Stars slowed down the pack and focused on Truth till he finally made the tag to Goldust who took the fight to Primo and Epico, planting Primo with a sweet Spinebuster.

Epico then showed Goldust a brochure for their timeshare but Goldust tore it up before R-Truth sent Epico over the top rope with a clothesline. Primo took advantage of the distraction to roll-up Goldust and pick up the win, with a little help from the bottom rope.

The 4th and 5th members of Raw’s Women’s Survivor Series team get announced

Charlotte couldn’t take the crowd serenading Bayley

Michael Cole was in the ring next, as he announced the members of the Raw women’s Survivor Series tag-team match. He first called out Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte. Charlotte comes out and sends a warning to the SmackDown team, calling them peasants. The second member of the team, Nia Jax, came out next. She told Charlotte that Charlotte might be the captain but she didn’t take orders from anyone.

The next member announced turns out to be Alicia Fox who comes out to barely a response from the crowd. Fox is followed out by Bayley and the crowd pops massive for ‘their girl’ Bayley. The crowd serenaded Bayley as she told the rest of the women that they have to work together.

Charlotte then goes to announce the fifth member of the team but the crowd still continued to sing. Charlotte announced Dana Brooke as the fifth member of the team but as Dana entered the ring, Michael Cole refuted the fact that Dana was the fifth member. He announced the real fifth member of the team as the one and only Sasha Banks.

Charlotte told Sasha that she didn’t know if Sasha would be in a state to compete at Survivor Series after the hellacious beating she took at Hell In A Cell, which is why she picked Dana as an alternate. Sasha replied that she was ‘The Boss’ and didn’t need an alternate.

This led to a 6-woman tag-team match.

Jax then got tagged in again but she tagged in Charlotte after just a flew blows. Charlotte dug her knees into Sasha’s back before slamming her to the mat. She then continued driving her knee into Sasha’s spine.

Charlotte did everything she could but Sasha eventually tagged in Bayley who was all over Charlotte as things broke down. Nia came in and took out Alicia Fox before an errant Big Boot from Charlotte took Nia out. Zayn and Rusev fought hard to earn the right to face Dolph Ziggler

Sami Zayn was the overwhelming crowd favourite for this match. They sung his theme song as he made his way into the ring and once again, it was clear that Sami is a star waiting to be made.

Rusev started the match by stomping on Sami relentlessly before sending him spine first into the turnbuckle. It looked like Rusev wasn’t pulling any punches as he mercilessly went to work on Sami and guillotined him against the bottom rope. Rusev then went to throw Sami out of the ring but Sami held on to the top rope and countered Rusev’s shoulder barge and threw him out of the ring as we headed to commercial.

We came back from commercial to see Sami in a headlock desperately trying to hit back. Rusev then drove his shoulders into Sami’s abdomen in the corner. Sami fought out and then tried to connect with a Helluva kick but failed as Rusev managed to land yet another kick to Sami's head. He went for the cover but only got a nearfall.

Rusev then went to the top rope to finish Sami off but was met with the Helluva kick and Rusev tumbled to the mat. Sami then covered Rusev for the pinfall to face Dolph Ziggler at Survivor Series.
