After Sunday’s epic PPV, RAW looked to capitalise on the huge momentum that it gave itself on SummerSlam. The event will surely have a lot of fallouts today as WWE looks to answer questions related to every feud starting from Christian’s shocking loss to Daniel Bryan’s betrayal (or a Triple H heel turn). Anyway it’s time for the shovel again.
The show begins with a SummerSlam recap of the two main events.
John Cena‘s music hits and he makes his way down the ring. He congratulates Daniel Bryan for being the better man last night and was sad about what transpired later. He says he will take some time off wrestling as his elbow needs to undergo a surgery and shamefully the crowd cheers for it. Cena then calls out Bryan, who enters to a huge pop from the crowd. Cena congratulates Bryan and leaves the ring.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Before Bryan can even get a word, Stephanie interrupts and tells Bryan she is sorry about what happened. Bryan calls her trash and looks enraged. Stephanie tries to stay calm and explains how everyone cannot be the champion in WWE. She loses her cool as Bryan knocks the mic off her and calls security, who look like a bunch of jokers. Bryan is escorted out of the building amidst huge NO chants.
Damien Sandow vs. Cody Rhodes
Sandow and Rhodes have a SummerSlam rematch, where Sandow looks to make things even by getting a victory. A decent opening match that had a good amount of back and forth action as Rhodes rolled up Sandow in the corner to pick up the victory for the second time in two nights.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Paul Heyman is in the ring with a sling on his arm. He starts with Brock Lesnar beating Punk at SummerSlam and then says he has forgiven Punk for his actions and wants to end this immediately. But before that he wants Punk to apologise and calls him out to the ring. Punk doesn’t show up.
The Funkadactyls vs. AJ and Layla
AJ and Natalya went for the their opponents even before the match started. AJ looked dominant with a sleeper but Naomi made a comeback. She then rolled Layla, who came in after the tag to pick up the victory.

The Shield vs. Dolph Ziggler (3 on 1 Tag-Style Handicap Match)
The Shield remained in control in the initial stage of the match as Ziggler was trying to find an opening. He finally made a break and went on a roll hitting all his signatures Reigns. He suplexes Rollins out of the ring and turns around and runs into a spear from Reigns. The Shield then hit the triple powerbomb as a display of dominance.
Winner: The Shield
Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara
Del Rio starts with a few shots but Sin Cara throws him out of the ring and goes for the suicide dive. The match is called off as Sin Cara hurt his hands during the dive.
Del Rio looks frustrated and attacks Cara and grabs the mic. He considers himself the true Mexican hero to be interrupted by Ricardo Rodriguez.
Ric claims that Del Rio isn’t the true hero and introduces the new wrestler he represents. He introduces RVD and says he will be his new ring announcer. RVD runs into the ring and attacks ADR as he escapes.
Winner: No contest
The Real Americans vs. Prime Time Players
A short-lived match that picked up momentum as it progressed. Darren Young hit the gutbuster on Cesaro for the victory.
Winner: Prime Time Players
Big Show vs. The Shield (3 on 1 Handicap Match)
Big Show had a backstage interview with Renee Young where he spoke about Mark Henry challenging the Shield for the title. Maddox then sets up another 3 on 1 handicap match.
Big Show starts the bout using his huge size to his advantage. He sends Reigns out and starts attacking Rollins and Ambrose. Reigns comes back to the ring and gets a spear from Show. The Shield move out as Big Show watches inside the ring.
Rollins and Ambrose then try and attack Big Show, who manages to keep them at bay. Reigns comes in and hits a spear on Show, this is followed by a triple powerbomb for the victory.
Winner: The Shield
CM Punk is out and calls out to Heyman. Punk looks angry as he is booed by one of the crowd member and dares him to come out to the ring. Heyman responds and says he will bring his client Axel to the ring if Punk remains after the commercial. Punk remains defiant and Heyman makes his way to the ring with Axel.
Axel then attacks Punk who is visibly weak after last night’s match. Punk and Axel brawl as Punk hits a few chair shots. After a few back and forth action, Punk finally gains the upper hand as he manages to hit the GTS on Axel. Punk and Heyman then have a staredown.
R-Truth vs. Bray Wyatt

Winner: The Usos
Miz vs Wade Barrett
Miz and Barrett seemed to put on a good match as they slowly started gaining momentum. Miz connected the Figure Four on Barrett, but Fandango played spoil sport as he laid a huge leg drop on Miz to end the match in a disqualification. Fandango and Summer Rae dance to end the segment.
Winner: The Miz
Triple H is out with the entire WWE roster as he delivers a confusing promo about being hurt by what he did last night, but the pressure of doing the right thing made him do it. Triple H calls out Randy Orton, who hugs the McMahon family.
Triple H then calls out Bryan and asks him to speak his heart out. Bryan makes his way into the ring as the Shield, who are posted as bodyguards attack him. Bryan fights back but is laid down with a spear. They go for the triple powerbomb but Triple H stops them. Bryan is asked to get into the ring and he immediately gets RKOd as Triple H, McMahon, Stephanie and Orton hold their hands up together on top of Bryan to end the show.
