WWE RAW Results: CM Punk's biggest rival returns; Rhea Ripley injured; former champ attacked (12/2/2024)

CM Punk showed up to the arena and headed to the ring to kick off the WWE RAW after Survivor Series. Punk talked about what was next and hinted at a WrestleMania appearance via either the Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber.

Seth Rollins came out and said that he regretted not taking Punk down the day he returned. Rollins wanted to rectify the mistake by facing Punk but the latter said that there was nothing Seth had that Punk wanted. The two almost started a brawl before Jey Uso and Sami Zayn came out with officials to stop them.

Seth mouthed off at Jey, and Sami warned him before explaining that they had no choice but to team up with Punk for WarGames. Rollins called Roman the monster before he and Zayn reminded each other how they both betrayed Reigns at some point in time.

Rollins added that Roman had never apologized for treating The Usos and Zayn so poorly and that he hadn't changed. He also called Sami naive and gullible before Zayn set up a match with The Visionary later in the night.

Backstage at The Judgment Day clubhouse, Liv Morgan said that Finn Balor should stay away from Damian Priest, but Balor snapped back at her, bringing up her loss at WarGames. Finn said that when the group listens to him, they win, before walking off.

WWE RAW Results: Damage CTRL vs. Judgment Day

IYO SKY was isolated early on and came back with a suplex on Liv Morgan before hitting her with the knees in the corner.

Liv blocked a moonsault and tags were made before Raquel got some big moves on Kairi Sane. Raquel hit the Texana Bomb on Sane before getting the win.

Result: Judgment Day def. Damage CTRL

After the match, Rhea Ripley made the save for Damage CTRL and attacked The Judgment Day, but Raquel Rodriguez turned it around and attacked her injured orbital bone. Raquel sent Rhea face-first into the corner of the announce desk before RAW moved on.

WWE RAW Results: Dakota Kai vs. Katana Chance vs. Shayna Baszler

Dakota Kai got some big boots and sent Shayna Baszler outside with a kick before trying for a dive, only to get caught with an uppercut. Katana Chance hit them with a dive of her own before we headed for a break.

Back on RAW, Kai got a big boot and a stomp to the neck before breaking out of the Kirifuda Clutch. Chance got the 450 splash, but Kai rolled away. Dakota came back with the Benedryller and took Chance out for the win.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were out next to celebrate their big day and they recalled the last ten years. The Big E chants got louder. Kofi was about to bring up the future of the New Day when Big E showed up. He said that he had been watching them argue and that until he is cleared to wrestle again, Big E will hang around at ringside with his team.

Big E said he would be there every night to assist Woods and Kofi as their manager. Woods said that 'now' Big E wanted to come back, and Kofi added that E left them. Big E said that he broke his neck, and the other two said that he could have made his return all along, but he decided to stick to his desk job.

Woods said that Big E should stop teasing the crowd since he would never be medically cleared, telling him to leave the ring and go back to his desk. E tried to go for a hug, and Kofi stopped him before he walked away. Woods and Kofi shook hands in the ring and said that 'it was just us' before RAW moved on.

WWE RAW Results: Gunther vs. Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio was taking a beating right off the bat but managed to send Gunther outside for a dive. Back after a break, Gunther tried for the Boston Crab before Dominik came back with a low blow into a 619.

Dom failed to get the splash and took some strikes before Gunther got the big powerbomb and picked up the easy win.

Result: Gunther def. Dominik Mysterio

After the match, Finn Balor ran in and hit a slingblade followed by a trio of Coup de Grace on the champ.

Grade: B-

Jey Uso was mysteriously attacked backstage off camera, and officials found him on the floor clutching his neck.

WWE RAW Results: R-Truth vs. Pete Dunne

Pete Dunne got some big moves early on but failed to put R-Truth away before the latter got his hand stomped on. The crowd was chanting Butch, and it distracted Pete, allowing Truth to roll him up for the sudden win.

Result: R-Truth def. Pete Dunne

Backstage, Bron Breakker told Ludwig Kaiser to get out of Gunther's shadow since the HeavyweightCchamp's days were numbered.

Sami Zayn was backstage and said that he knew who attacked Jey and he was going to get revenge in the ring.

WWE RAW Results: Seth Rollins vs. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn got the exploder suplex into the corner, but Seth countered the Helluva Kick with a superkick. The match headed outside, and the two traded strikes before Sami was sent into the steel ring post.

Zayn came back with a kick to the face and sent Rollins into the ringpost before getting a steel chair. Sami yelled at Rollins, saying that he knew that Seth attacked Jey, but Rollins denied it. Sami finally tossed the chair away before Seth used the distraction to roll him up for the win.

Result: Seth Rollins def. Sami Zayn

Grade: B

After the match, a man in a hoodie attacked Sami Zayn and took him down with a claymore. It turned out that it was Drew McIntyre, and he made his big return on RAW just as the show was about to go off-air.
