Edge was out next on RAW and called Beth Phoenix to join him on the Cutting Edge.
The Rated-R Superstar said that the two of them had never had a match together and recalled Phoenix's career and ran a video package before they talked about Miz and Maryse.

Phoenix said that they were going to shut the IT couple up for good at Royal Rumble before Miz and Maryse came out. The Miz taunted Edge and Beth before running a video about Maryse's career, not to be outdone by the Hall of Famers.
Edge and Beth fired back and said that Maryse was suddenly really quiet after Phoenix showed up. Miz was talking for his wife and threatened Beth on her behalf, not noticing that Maryse had quietly retreated backstage. Once he realized Maryse was gone, Miz retreated as well before the show continued.
