Randy Orton was backstage on RAW and refused an interview to focus on his match.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler were backstage and Lacey and Peyton tried to talk strategy before they were sent away by the champs. Nia blamed Baszler for having to settle for Royce and Evans.

Randy Orton (c) vs. Drew McIntyre - WWE Championship match on RAW
Drew McIntyre was out in his old ring-gear that Sheamus handed him and got quite a long entrance. The match started with Drew knocking Randy down with a tackle. Orton recovered but took a Glasgow Kiss and a Spinebuster before rolling outside.
Orton tried to run away with his title but Drew chased him down and brought him back to the ring for a claymore but missed. Randy turned back again but Adam Pearce came out to announce that it was now a no-DQ match.
Back after a break on RAW, Randy went for a steel chair and attacked Drew with it. He drove the chair into Drew's jaw that was broken previously before taking him outside and dropping him on the announce desk.
