WWE RAW Review - Main Event steals the show yet again

For the second straight week on Monday Night Raw, the tag team division stole the show. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have combined their popularity to form a superb team much like the Mega Powers comprising of Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan in the 80s.

I had predicted that The Shield and the Wyatts might unite forces to face the team of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, The Rhodes Brothers and the Usos in a traditional Survivor Series tag match. Instead the WWE gave us this match as a main event on Monday Night Raw. On Free television!

For the second straight week WWE gave us a main event which is definition of what all main events in WWE should look like. The dominance of the Shield and the Wyatts was splattered all over the place with ‘massive cheap shots’ as Jerry Lawler called them.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan showed what the Indy scene was capable of and whenever these four collided it was a treat to watch. CM Punk pulled sort of a new manoeuvre on Ambrose and Rollins who sold it well. And as far as tributes go, Cm Punk lifted Seth Rollins and just when it looked like Punk going to go for a spinebuster, Daniel Bryan Came charging to give Seth Rollins a ‘Hart Attack’- The Hart Foundation’s finisher. Talk about reputed tag teams in the WWE.

The babyface team was successful in riling up the crowd at every moment when it was needed. And CM Punk picked up the win for his team after planting Dean Ambrose with the GTS. And to make things better or messier (only time will tell) the Real Americans made their way to the ring and started attacking Punk and Bryan. And then, something really unexpected took place. Rey Mysterio made his return and the little man went on a rampage and took on the Wyatts and the Real Americans on his own and sent the Nashville crowd home happy.

It is very unclear where this will all lead to for Mysterio. Maybe a feud with the Real Americans is possible because Mysterio is not, well, American. Maybe, Sin Cara might return as his partner. Maybe Mysterio can team up with Los Metadores, but I doubt if that’s going to turn out to be significant.

Anyway, Raw ended on a high note but it was a go-home show for Survivor Series- One of the four big PPV’s of the WWE. I still think this match could have been a great addition to the Survivor Series match card. But, oh well.
