On the June 14 episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE aired a promo video which confirmed Sting as an exclusive character for the WWE 2k15 game.
The former TNA superstar was anticipated to play some kind of a role on this week’s show after he had hyped his involvement by tweeting the date 14.07.2014 on his official account.
That message did generate some speculations throughout the week as many fans believed he could be making an appearance on Raw.
But the appearance was limited to the game’s promo video which showcased Sting as an official figure for only those who pre-ordered 2k15.
The video aired with a group of musicians playing a dark symphony. Shadows flashed across the screen as the musicians stopped and turned around revealing their Sting like painted faces.
The camera then turned away and the focus fell on Sting’s face who was standing there in his classic trenchcoat with the baseball bat in his hand.
WWE announcers then made it official that the former WCW superstar will be an official character in the pre-ordered version of the game.
The method of pitching in Sting’s character in the game is similar to the way in which WWE used The Ultimate Warrior in the previous edition. After the pre-order period goes over and the game goes on sale, he won’t be available for role playing for the gamers.
