#4. The build to Survivor Series is set to come to a boil on RAW
Survivor Series 2021, as mentioned, hasn't had the best build-up on either RAW or SmackDown. For some reason, WWE decided to completely omit the need for qualifying matches and simply announced the teams for RAW and SmackDown.
Not only this but three members have been removed from their teams. Dominik Mysterio was replaced by Bobby Lashley on the RAW Men's team, Sami Zayn was taken out of the SmackDown Men's team following a loss to Jeff Hardy, and newcomer Aaliyah was removed from the SmackDown Women's team despite picking up the win for her team this past Friday.
It's been entirely bizarre, and the brand supremacy concept seems outdated, as was stated by RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch. It would have made sense if the WWE Draft hadn't taken place only a month ago and hadn't fully taken effect a few weeks ago.
Most of the RAW Men's Team comprises of former SmackDown stars who newly shifted over, and there are similar cases on all teams. Since it's the go-home episode of RAW, a traditional invasion angle could be in the works. Only this year, the idea of it is a lot less interesting than before and it simply comes off as unoriginal, but inevitable.
